The general perception is that specialization in IT is the best option. But the same is not necessary. You do have other options like finance, HR, marketing too. It is important that you choose the stream which best suits you. Like if you would like to work in the area of recruitment, employee welfare etc then certainly HR is a good option for you. Since you have completed graduation in engineering stream you can probably join any of the companies in the IT field. Since you understand the requirements for the company you should be able help in select the right candidates that fit the profile. You need to assess where your strengths lie and based on that select the appropriate stream.
