After BSc electronics you can do many short courses. Option exist like Electronics Technician Certificate training program, Embedded Systems and VLSI Design, Power Electronics / Circuit Design. You can even do short term computer courses like certificate courses in JAVA, Dot net, Oracle, Parametric Programming for CNC Machining & Turning Centers, Virus and Spyware Removal, etc…Animation ,graphic design, web design are some of the other short term courses. After your higher studies you can be employed in small or large business firms. The job is varied ranging from general management roles to working as numerical analysts. You can also work as Aerospace Technician, Quality Control Technician, Audio/Visual Technician, Office Equipment Technician, Point of Sale System Technician, Telecommunications Field Technician, Technical Support, Transportation Industry Technician, Video Game Technician, and Computer Repair Technician.

Sorry to hear that you could not clear your Bachelors degree in the first attempt. Priority needs to be given to clear the same in the next attempt. A higher study is physics will include mathematics. Since mathematics is your weak area you need to be sure that you will able to handle the pressure. Else you need to check what your strengths and weakness are. It is based on this you need to decide what your career path should be.
There are various courses which you could pursue. You could take up a course in IT area like web designing, animation, graphic designing. Also there are computer courses like JAVA, Oracle, virus removal etc. Also there are courses to become a technician in areas such as aerospace, telecommunication, transportation, computer repair. But before you decide to take up any of the courses as suggested please decide the area you are most comfortable in.

If only you need to do a post graduation course in physics, there is no need to enroll in computer course etc. But look it all depends on your intrests.
If you want to increase your skills in computer programming, do a course like C,C++,Java certification etc. Although these courses have nothing to do with what you want to study in future.
Again doing some course in electronics like Embedded systems won't do any value addition when you will be doing your PG in physics.
So think whether you really need some short course or focus on PG course only?

Since you are BE in electronics and communication engineering. You can do ME in vlsi field in reputed institutions such as IIT's and NIT's. To get into the IIT's, you have to write the GATE examination. The GATE examination is conducted in the month of february every year.
