    what want to know eligibility for become cbi or cid officier.i had completed my graduation and i want to know cbi officier ranking and exam to be conducted for qualifying for cbi or cid.

    Criminal Investigation Department (CID) or Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) is investigation agency of India,

    Recruitment of these post is done with written and Oral exams conducted by Staff Selection Commission and even UPSC too..

    Candidate opting this field need to be very brave, hardworking, honest as well as tactful as he has to deal with so many high profile people..

    This is a job of person with fire in him but that should be controlled by him and should be used as and when required during their raids and investigation judicially.

    Eligibility criteria required to be CID/CBI :-
    • You should have a Bachelor degree of any stream.

    • Candidate must have attained the age of 20 years on 1st July of the year of examination and must not have attained 27 years of age on that date

    • Upper age limit relaxation of 3 years for OBC candidates and 5 years for SC/ST candidates

    • Physical Requirements

    • Height
      • For men -165cms.
      • For women -150cms
      • Height relax able for Hillsmen and Tribals: 5cms
    • Chest
      • 76cms. with expansion
    • Eye-Sight (with or without glasses)
      • Distant Vision :6/6 in one and 6/9 in other eye.
      • NearVision:0.6 in one eye and 0.8 in other eye

    Eligibility for Central Bureau of Investigation Exam 2012: -

    1. Qualifications: -

    Degree of a regonised University or equivalent.


    2. Age Limit: -

    20 - 25 years.

    3. CBI Exam 2012 Application Forms: -

    The application form can be transferred from the official website of SSC and designated Post Offices.

    4. Selection Procedure 2012: -

    Selection based on Written Test, Personal Interview and According to Rule and Regulation of the Govt of India.

    CBI exam is conducted by SSC.

    SSC stands for Staff for Selection Commission.
    • SSC exam is conducted once every year.
    • To join CBI you need to appear for CGPE exam i.e. Combined Graduate preliminary Exam which is conducted by SSC board every year.
    • If you are graduated from any recognized university with any discipline, then you are eligible for CBI exam.
    • But your age should be in between 20 to 27 years old.Age relaxation is provide for SC/ST/OBC category as per govt rule.
    • The maximum attempts for SC/ST candidate is Unlimited. For OBC candidate it is 7 years and for general candidate it will be 5 years.
    • Also you must be in citizen in India.

    Eligibility criteria for CID/CBI officer
    Age:
    you must have attained the age of 18 years and must not have attained the age of 25 years on the first July of the year of examination. The upper age limit is relaxable in respect of SC,ST Other Backward Classes, Departmental candidates and such other categories of persons as may be decided from time to time.

    Educational Qualifications: A candidate must hold degree of a recognized University, or equivalent.

    Physical Standards: For the posts of Inspector of central excise and preventive Officer, candidates will have to satisfy the following minimum physical standards, failing which they will not be eligible for appointment.

    (a) Inspector of Central Excise/Preventive Officer (Male candidates)

    (1) Physical Standards (Minimum)
    Height 157.5 cms
    Chest 81 cms (fully expanded with a minimum expansion of 5 cms
    Relaxable by 5 cms in the case of Garhwalis, Assamese, Gorkhas, Kumaon Region, Nagaland Tribes and members of ST

    (2) Physical Test:
    Walking
    1600 metres in 15 minutes

    Cycling
    8 Km in 30 minutes

    (b) Inspector of Central Excise/Preventive Officer (Lady Candidates)

    (1) Physical Standard:
    Height 152 cms
    Weight 48 Kg
    Height relaxable by 2.5 cm and weight by 2 kg for Gorkhans, Garhwalis, Assamese, Kumaon region and Nagaland Tribes and members of ST

    (2) Physical Test:
    Walking
    1 km in 20 minutes

    Cycling
    3 km in 2

    If you satisfy the above all eligibility for CID/CBI,then you are eligible for SSC-The Staff Selection Commission exam.If you qualify this exam,then you are called for personal interview,then if you pass it also,then you are called for medical check-up and then you are a CID/CBI officer.

    To join CBI you need to appear for CGPE exam i.e. Combined Graduate preliminary Exam which is conducted by SSC board every year.

    Those candidate are graduate from any recognized university with any discipline are eligible for CBI exam.(Criminology)

    For the civil service examination, the age limit is between 21-30 years with relaxation in the maximum age limit for reserved category and as far as the age limit for the position of Sub-Inspector in state police is concerned, it is usually between 20-27 years but may vary depending upon the state conducting the examination.

    *SO after Graduation you can go for CID and also for CBI.

    you can also try for Intelligence Bureau jobs..after graduation, you can join as Assistant central intelligence Officer with a pay scale of 9,300-34,800 + Grade pay Rs 4200..so, about Rs 27000 per month..a very good some...if you have graduate degree, right now intelligence bureau has notified for 750 seats..check here..http://badesahab.com/2012/07/intelli...ureau-officer/

    yes you are eligible to become CID/CBI officer after completion of your graduation.but only educational qualifications are not enough to become CID/CBI officer,you have to posses following physical requirements
