    RBI Scholarship Exam

    Reserve Bank of India conducts the RBI Scholarship Exam intended for the selection of eligible candidates in order to grant them RBI Young Scholars Award. The bank carries out the nationwide competitive test every year to select around 150 young scholars to award the scholarship. Those who clear the test may have to work on projects in chosen branches of RBI for 2 to 3 months. During the period, they will be remunerated a consolidated stipend of about Rs. 7,500/- per month.

    Structure and Pattern of the RBI Scholarship Exam

    The structure of the test will be of objective type. It comprises of questions on the common economic and financial milieu of the country, role and operation of the RBI, the latest trends of banking sector in India and so on. The duration of the test will be 90 minutes. As there is minus marking in the test, aspirants should take due care in attending the unknown questions.

    Qualification Criteria for the RBI Scholarship Exam

    Aspirants who have completed the XII exam or its equivalent and are currently pursuing their bachelors’ degree are qualified to apply for the entrance test. They should have done the course from a certified Board or University. In addition, they should be aged above 18 years and below 23 years of age. Postgraduates are non-eligible for the test.

    Application Procedure of the RBI Scholarship Exam

    To obtain the forms, applicants can rely up on the authorized site of the RBI. Downloaded forms should be duly filled in and submitted to the official address of the bank. Applicants must send the forms by ordinary post only. 'Application for the RBI Young Scholars Award Scheme’ – with year should be written in the top most portion of the envelope in which the forms are send. There is no specific fee for the test.
