    R.A.S/ R.T.S Main Examination

    R.A.S/ R.T.S examination is carried out by RPSC every year. RPSC officially came into existence in the year 1923 and it takes the responsibility for various recruitments and control over their services. It organizes competitive examinations as well as direct selection for the recruitment of eligible candidates to various posts like teachers, nurses, civil servants, etc.

    RPSC invites application from the qualified candidates for various Rajasthan Administrative and Allied civil services like Rajasthan Police Service, Rajasthan Transport Service, Rajasthan Tehsildar Service, etc. The RAS/ RTS examination consists of two stages, preliminary and main examination. The candidates qualified in the preliminary exams will be automatically enrolled for the main examination.

    The preliminary examinations are conducted in every district headquarters of Rajasthan. Those cleared this examination will get admit cards for the main examination. However the final selection for various posts will be decided after an interview.

    Structure and Pattern of R.A.S/ R.T.S Main Examination

    RAS/ RTS main examination consists of many sections. There will be compulsory papers and optional papers. The compulsory papers generally includes four topics such as General knowledge, general science in the morning session. General knowledge of Rajasthan, Rajasthani Society, Art & Culture is held in the afternoon session. Another set of compulsory papers are General Hindi and General English.

    The optional papers may include questions from various subjects as prescribed by the board. This part includes 12 papers from which candidates can choose the subject for each paper as given. Candidates have to qualify all the compulsory and optional papers separately. Three hour duration is allotted for each session.

    Those clearing all these examinations will be called for the final interview. The selection of candidates for various posts will be based on this.

    Qualification Criteria for R.A.S/ R.T.S Main Examination

    Only those candidates who have pursued graduation in any stream of study from any reputed universities are eligible to take part in the preliminary examinations. And those having this qualification along with good score in the prelims are eligible for the main examination. They should also satisfy the age criterion. They must have attained 21 years of age and should not cross 35 years. However relaxations will be given for the deprived candidates as per the state rules.

    Application Procedure of R.A.S/ R.T.S Main Examination

    Those who wish to take part in the recruitment should send the application form for the preliminary examination of RAS/ RTS. It can be procured from any District Employment offices located at the District Headquarters. The candidates who have cleared the initial examinations will automatically qualify for the main examination.

    there was a notification on site that online exam for this post is to be held on 3 december.
