    Punjab University M.Ed Entrance Exam

    Punjab University conducts entrance exams to select candidates in to various graduate, post graduate and doctoral courses in different disciplines. Candidates who are interested can apply for the most appropriate courses as per their eligibility criteria. Punjab University M.Ed entrance exam is conducted to select eligible aspirants for M.Ed course. This University offers both part time and full time courses in M.Ed. Candidates who clear this entrance exam can apply for M.Ed course in any reputed college under Punjab University.

    Structure and Pattern of Punjab University M.Ed Entrance Exam

    Punjab University M.Ed Entrance Exam consists of objective type questions. Candidates should mark correct answer in the OMR sheet. Candidates are given a total time limit of 1 hours to complete this entrance exam. There are a total of 75 questions included in entrance examination. There are five main sections in this entrance examination. The questions included in this entrance exam will cover basic concepts or subject areas studied in B.Ed course. Those who are able to score above the cut off specified by Punjab University can secure admission for M.Ed course.

    Candidates should answer questions from the following subject areas in entrance exam
    • Section 1 -Philosophical and Sociological Basis of Education
    • Section 2 - The Learner Nature and Development (Educational Psychology)
    • Section 3 - Teaching Learning Process
    • Section 4 - School Management
    • Section 5 -Guidance & Counseling
    Eligibility criteria of Punjab University M.Ed Entrance Exam

    To secure admission for B.Ed course, candidates should fulfill certain eligibility criteria. Graduates from a recognized institute can apply for B.Ed course. Apart from this, candidates should also obtain a B.Ed degree. The percentage of marks specified in B.Ed course is 50%. Those candidates who belong to SC/ST/OBC categories are given relaxation in percentage of marks. Reserved category candidates need to score only 45% marks in B.Ed course. If candidates are interested to pursue part time B.Ed course they should also have a teaching experience apart from the above mentioned qualifications. A minimum of 2 years teaching experience in any recognized government schools is necessary to apply for part time M.Ed course in Punjab University. A cut off marks percentage of 20% in entrance exam is necessary to get admission for M.Ed course in this University.
