Punjab Civil Services Exam

Punjab Public Service Commission conducts the Civil Service examination for the recruitment of qualified aspirants to fill in the various vacancies that arise within the organizations that come under the PPSC. Those who clear the preliminary and main on paper tests may have to attend an individual interview subsequently. Aspirants who clear all these procedures can expect job openings in PPSC.

Structure and Pattern of the Punjab Civil Services Exam

The pattern of the PCS –Preliminary exam will be of objective as well as subjective type. There will be multiple-choice questions on current affairs, general awareness and aptitude. In the subjective type test, there will be essay type questions on Punjabi, English and General Knowledge. Moreover, questions on optional part will be included in the explanatory part of the exam.

Qualification Criteria for Punjab Civil Services Exam

The educational qualification to apply for the Punjab Civil Service exam is a pass in the graduate degree program in any streams. However, candidates are supposed to have completed the Bachelors’ degree program from a recognized institute. There is no percentage requisite to apply for the test. Only Indian Nationals are eligible to apply for the PCS test. Aspirants must be aged between 21 – 35 years as to apply for the test. SC/ST category aspirants can benefit 5 years relaxation in age. Those who come under PWD can avail 10 years relaxation in aggregate marks.

Application Procedure for Punjab Civil Services Exam

To obtain the forms, applicants can contact the PPSC Reception Counter. They can procure the OMR sheet forms along with information brochure by remitting the required application fee. Applicants have to submit the duly filled in forms to the PPSC office prior to the last date.
