The institute was set up in the year 1926 by the PSG and Sons' Charitable Trust. This is an ISO 9001:2000 certified college. It is aided by the Indian Government. It has an affiliation to the Anna University, Chennai.

Engineering courses are offered in areas like Automobile Engineering, Bio Technology, Civil Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Electronics & Communication Engineering, Information Technology, Mechanical Engineering, Metallurgical Engineering, Production Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering
Production Engineering, Textile Technology (full time/part time), Bio Medical Engineering, Fashion Technology, Instrumentation & Control Engineering, Mechanical Engineering. There are also B.Sc courses in Apparel & Fashion Technology (B.Sc), Applied Sciences (B.Sc), Computer Technology (B.Sc), Information Technology (B.Sc).

Admission Process of PSG College of Engineering

Candidates who wish to join Bachelors courses must appear for the Tamil Nadu Engineering Admission Entrance Examination (TNPCEE) and the All India Engineering Entrance Exam (AIEEE) for the government quota. These exams are conducted by the TNEA Anna University. Those candidates who aspire to join by the management quota ought to write the Common Entrance Test (CET) that is carried out by the Consortium of independent Engineering colleges.
Candidates who are interested to join the master’s course must have finished their graduation in the related subject. The selection of the candidates is done on the basis of their marks scored in the GATE/TANCET/MATexam.

Students who have cleared their graduation with Mathematics and Computer Science in addition to Statistics are eligible to apply for the MCA course. Graduates who have taken mathematics in their class 12 can also submit an application for this course. The students are chosen on the basis of their marks scored in the TANCET exam.

Candidates who have a Masters Degree in the related topic are eligible to apply for the doctoral program.

Infrastructure of PSG College of Engineering

The campus of the PSG College is lush and very beautiful. It is spread over 45 acres of land. The students of this college are facilitated with a well furnished library, spacious class rooms and a Hostel for both men and women. It also has Staff Quarters and vast play fields. In addition to this, the college also has a beautiful garden. Another feature of this college is its Placement Cell. This enables the students to find jobs when they pass out of the college.

Hi friend,
I cant get your querry clearly but according to my understanding ill reply you.

I think you are going to join as a lateral entry in the PSG college.For that you should not have any arrears in your diplomo.

You have to get atleast the pass percentage to enter into the college as a lateral entry.

If you cant able to join by means of government qouta then here is the second chance for you.You should have to write the Common Entrace Test(CET)that is carried out by the Consortium of independent engineering colleges.
If you lose this chance then there is no way to get into college.Unless You give money and join in the college.
