    In order to become a Food Inspector, you should appear in All India Food Inspector Examination conducted by UPSC. Those who are graduates in science subjects are eligible to apply for this exam. Graduation done in subjects such as Agriculture, diary technology, food technology, Pharmacy etc can also apply. The graduation should be secured from a recognized institute. The final year graduates are also eligible to apply for this exam. You should be between 21 – 30 years for attending this exam. Work experience will also be useful.

    Food Inspector Examination:

    Food inspector is the one who is responsible for determining the quality of food Processed or made.They are responsible for the food hazards and the manufacturing of the safe and quality food and the manuals in the companies for the verifications of the sales persons.There are many jobs in both the government and also the private fields of food inspector posts.
    There are some eligibility criteria to be followed before for becoming the Food inspector,some of them are....
    Eligibility criteria:
    >>Age limit-
    you must have attained the age of 21 years and should not exceed the age of 30 years...
    >>Educational qualifications-
    you must have passed the bachelor degree in the related department of science fields for becoming the food inspector.
    some of the fields of study in degree such as
    Chemistry
    Agriculture
    Biology
    Medicine
    Pharmacy
    Food technology
    These are some of the branches of study which are to be done for applying to the food inspector examinations.....

    Steps to become food inspector:
    *At first obtain the graduation in the related fields of food technology or the science
    *gather the certificates of the graduation and apply for the examination conducted and also get qualify in the examination
    *Then after qualifying the examination you need the collect the certificates offered by the local bureau of food meat
    *enroll the USDA inspection training program
    *list the experience of at least one year and also prepare the resume in the good way that the HR Should impress you to take in to the job.....

    Inspectors in various offices within the country

    EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION:-


    Food inspector examination is conducted by UPSC as well state Public service commission.

    The main function of food inspector is to Examine the food quality and quantity in various industries/hotels/organization and etc

    You must be a graduate in Medicine.
    Or
    Candidate should have graduate in Science with Chemistry as one of the subject
    or
    A graduate in Agriculture/ Public Health / Pharmacy / Veterinary /Science Food Technology / Dairy Technology.

    AGE CRITERIA:-


    Candidates age must lie between 21 years to 35 years as on July 1st 2012

    Upper age Relaxation is provided to candidate belonging to Reservation category.

    You must also have at-least one month training in Food inspection and sampling work approved by the Central Government or State Government.

    QUESTION PAPER DETAILS:-


    It comprises of questions on following topics -
    technical related question
    science subjects
    numerical ability
    GK questions
    English language test

    NOTE - It also consist of negative marking for incorrect answers.

    Food Inspector Exam

    UPSC conducts Food Inspector exam in national level to recruit students to food inspector post . It consist of written test followed with a personal interview if you clear written exam .

    Eligibility ::

    You must be graduates in any of the science subjects/Agriculture / Pharmacy / Food Technology / Dairy Technology from a recognized college.

    You should be between 21 to 35 years of age There is relaxation for the reserved category candidates in upper age limit .

    Written exam consist of ::

    science subjects
    numerical ability
    GK
    English language.

    Food Inspector Exam

    Union Public Service Commission conducts All India Food Inspector exam for the recruitment of Food Inspectors in various offices within the country.

    Structure and Pattern of the All India Food Inspector Exam

    The test pattern comprises of questions on technical side, which includes science subjects.

    It also consists of numerical ability and GK questions.

    There will also be an English language test.

    The duration of the exam will be 150 minutes.

    Aspirants need to be very careful in attending the unknown questions, as there is negative marking for incorrect answers.

    Qualification Criteria for the All India Food Inspector Exam

    Graduates in medicine who have gone through training in food inspection are qualified to attend the test.

    Otherwise, the aspirants should have completed the bachelors’ degree in any of the science subjects.

    They must have studied Chemistry as a subject in their qualifying course.

    Graduates in Agriculture / Pharmacy / Food Technology / Dairy Technology are also eligible to apply for the test.
