    Postal Assistants/Sorting Assistants Recruitment Examination (Kerala)

    In order to apply for Postal/Sorting Assistants posts in Kerala, candidates should appear for a written examination. Kerala Postal Service is the authority which conducts this exam. Only those candidates who are residing in Kerala can apply for this exam. Candidates who qualify this exam can apply for any of the following posts –
    • Postal Assistants in Circle Office and Regional Offices
    • Postal Assistants in Post Offices
    • Postal Assistants in Savings Bank Control Organization
    • Sorting Assistants in Railway Mail Service
    Structure and Pattern of Postal Assistants/Sorting Assistants Recruitment Examination (Kerala)

    Selection process will not be entirely based on the candidate’s performance in the written examination. On the other hand, the marks scored by candidates in 12th class will also be taken in to account for selection. Candidates with a good percentage of marks in 12th class will have higher chances of selection for this post.

    The total marks in this examination will be calculated on the following basis –
    • 40% marks from 12th class level
    • 50% marks from written exam
    • 10% marks from computer skills
    The written exam conducted for Postal/Sorting assistants post will consist of 60 questions. The entrance exam will comprise of questions from subject areas namely mathematics, reasoning skills, General Knowledge, English language etc.

    Eligibility criteria of Postal Assistants/Sorting Assistants Recruitment Examination (Kerala)

    A pass in 12th class is the basic qualification which is essential to apply for Postal/Sorting Assistants exam. Candidates should have opted English as a subject in 12th class in order to apply for this position. Candidates should be proficient in the local language of the particular state from which they are applying for this exam. On the other hand, candidates should also have basic typing skills as well as computer knowledge. Candidates should be able to submit the education certificates for verification as and when required.
