    Is it possible to sit for NET Exam in Journalism and Mass Communication after completing masters in Communication Studies from Pune University?

    if i do masters in communication studies from pune university.....is it possible to sit in net exam in journalism and masscommunication subject?

    If you have completed your Post graduate degree course in Communication (MA in Communication) Then you are eligible to apply for NET Examination.

    To apply for NET Examination you have to complete your Post graduate degree course in any discipline form a recognised university with minimum 55% marks, Final year appearing candidates are also eligible to apply for NET Examination. For this year June NET Examination was already completed and December NET Examination will be held on 24/May/2011.

    If you have missed the chance in this year, then please apply for NET Examination next year.

    The Notification of Next year June NET Examination will be Published soon in the month of April 2012, Eligible candidates may fill the application form Online by visit the official website.

    But Before fill the Online application form of NET, You have to pay the fees through challan form in SBI Bank. The challan form is availiable in the official website after declaring the notification.

    The examination fees of NET is Rs 450, So please wait for the Notification and then apply for NET Examination.

    Interested candidates may apply for Lectureship Post or Junior Research Fellowship Post in NET Examination.

    To apply for Lectureship Post, you must have attained the age of 19 years, there is no upper age restrictions, But for Junior Research Fellowship Post, your age should not be more than 28 years, Upper age relaxation is applicable for SC/ST/OBC Candidates.

    You have to choose the subjects in NET Examination on the basis of Post Graduation.

    The List of Subjects are Availiable in the NET Official website.

    If you have completed your Master degree course in communication then you can opt Mass Communication and Journalism Subjects in NET Examination. So please prepare for NET Examination as per the syllabus and pattern. There are 3 papers in NET Examination and all are Conducted in Same Day in 2 session.

    The First 2 papers is Objective and last paper is Descriptive. The first two papers both are of 100 Marks Each and last paper is 200 Marks.

    Yes off course you are eligible to sit for NET(National eligibility test) as you have completed your post graduation.
    The following conditions are required to be fulfilled in order to appear for this examination:
    1)You should have a post graduation or masters degree from a recognised university.
    2)You should have cleared your post graduation with at least 55%This is the minimum percentage that is required to appear for this examination.

    One point can be noted by you that there is no prescribed age limit to apply for the examination.

    Eligibility For The NET Exam

    The NET (National Eligibility Test) is conducted by the UGC (University Grants Commission) every year twice in the months of June and December

    A candidate can appear in the NET Exam only if he fulfills the following minimum eligibility criterion :-

    1) The candidate must have completed his post graduation with at least 55% marks aggregate

    2) The candidate must be less than 28 years of age on the first date of the month of the examination


    through the NET Exam, a candidate can apply for lectureship in various reputed Universities
