Re: Is it possible to prepare for IAS exam on my own without any coaching Institute?

Yes why not. One of the reason why many choose to go for coaching before applying for IAS because they think that civil services can not be cracked with out it. But its not true. If you have the proper plannin, startegy, motive , time management, then believe me its not hard to crack Ias exam. There are many people who crack civil service exam without coaching because they know the way how to manage their time and rest of their life. You often have read the sucess stories of many Ias toppers. All of them are not product of any institute but they have choosen the right material for their success.

So you can do it but what you need is time management. Prepare topics and revise it everyday. Take the help of NCERT books of class 6th to +2. Read newpapers like The Hindu, The Times of India, etc. Magzines like prititogita darpan, CSR, ETC. Take the help of additional books as well which is available in the market. You will surely crack it if you follow a nice and sincere procedure and time management.

Re: Is it possible to prepare for IAS exam on my own without any coaching Institute?

    dear friend,

It is not only possible to crack IAS without any coaching but many people in the past have done so and proved that IAS can be cleared without any coaching. What you need is the correct study material. An indepth analysis of study material needs to be done and pick the one that you feel is the best for you. Give at least 6 hours a day to preparation for the IAS entrance exam. Choose your subjects carefully . It is not necessary that if you have done your graduation in a particular subject then you have to pick that subject. Choose the subject that you feel you can perform the best in...

    Best of luck

    MY DEAR FRIEND

YES YOU CAN PREPARE WITHOUT COACHING FOR IAS EXAMS.BUT IT IS VERY CHALLENGE TO PREPARE GROUP 1 EXAM.BECAUSE SELECTION IS VERY DIFFICULT IN

GROUP 1 EXAMS.YOU CAN PREPARE OLD BOOKS,GENERAL KNOWLEDGE BOOKS,ADMINISTRATION BOOKS YOU MUST READ.CURRENT AFFAIRS AND YOU CAN KNOW

    ABOUT ALL DEPARTMENTS IN STATE.

YOU CAN PREPARE FAST WRITING TIPS.AND YOU MUST READ EVERY DAY ENGLISH PAPERS AND MOTHER TONGUE PAPERS FOR GROUP 1 EXAMS.

IAS OFFICER MEANS KING OF THE DISTRICT.SO YOU MUST KNOW ALL RULES AND REGULATIONS ABOUT LAWS AND ARTICLES IN BHARATHA RAJYANGAM.

YOU KNOW ALL GOVT POSTS AND THEIR WORKS.

KNOWLEDGE IS MORE IMPORTANT FOR PREPARING IAS EXAMS.YOU CAN PREPARE YOURSELF FOR GROUP1.BUT YOU HAVE PRACTICE WITH THIS KNOWLEDGE

AND YOU CAN GO FOR COACHING TO GET MORE KNOWLEDGE.AND SHORTCUTS TO GET GOOD MARKS IN EXAMS AND INTERVIES.

Thumbs up Re: Is it possible to prepare for IAS exam on my own without any coaching Institute?

    Hi Dude.....

IAS is the Civil Services offered by the Union Public Services commission in India, generally these civil services are very tough and you should concentrate more on these examinations as they are very tough and also very tough competition will be present for the Civil services.......

IAS Examination contains the eligibility criteria and also the examination pattern which is to be followed while attempting to the examination, the examination pattern is very common to all those who attend the examination, the examination pattern is.....
The examination takes place in three ways, they are.....
    >>Preliminary examination:
    >>Main Examination
    >>Interview

    >>Preliminary Examination:
This is the starting entrance examination for the entry in to the civil services such as IAS/IPS.This examination includes the two papers mainly....
    Paper1-
*Current events of /national and international events
*History of India and Indian National moment
    *Indian and World Geography
    *Indian Policy and Governance
    *Economic and social Development
    *General issues on environmental ecology
    *General Science
    Paper2-
    *Comprehension
    *Interpersonnel Skills
    *Logical reasoning and analytical ability
    *Decision making and problem solving
    *General mental ability
    *Basic numeracy
    *English Language
These are the subjects included in the Preliminary examination, and if you wants to prepare these examinations on your own you can prepare but you should have general knowledge of these current events and current economic issues and development of country and history of India.....
you should have the ability of logical thinking and basic problem solving capability.if you have the mentioned capabilities you can prepare by your own.......
prepare for the examination by seeing the model papers and also refer books which are prescribed for the examinations of Prelims.....
    >>Main Examination-
The main examination is the second step of the examination which is conducted after qualifying the Prelims examination. These main examinations contains the optional subjects and you must select according to their course of study
You can prepare for this main examination also but you should have the full grip on the subject you selected from the optional subjects.......
    >>Interview-
This is the last round of the selection procedure and this is conducted after qualifying the main examination sucessfully......

According to these syllabus you can prepare o your own by referring the books and you must have good knowledge as mentioned above.but rather then preparing by your own you if you take the coaching you will be having full grip and you can over take the competition of the examination by qualifying the examination......
    REGARDS:
