Yes,,,you can join merchant navy after B.tech in electronics and telecommunication,,,all you will have to do is to apply for CDC certificate

Also,,,You can apply for the post of a Radio Officer or an Electronics Officer
Radio Officers and Electronic Officers are part and parcel of a modern ship.
Working area
Operation, repair and maintenance of radio and the electronic communication equipment, radar and other navigational aids are the basic functions of the Radio officers

There are four different areas for electronics peopel to enter into Indian NAVY:
#Technical posts(castal signal guards,prime assistant officers etc)
#Ship Designer(field part)
#RADIO signaling officer for allining
#Captian(This is only possible after 8 years of experience in the branch alloted and after atainning s-badge)

As you have allready entered into marine field first you choose wether to continue in the same field or to come out of it
If you whant to come out and make a study then join in managment related cource and make your future shine brigh as you all ready have an experience in marine field go for education in that field it self
If you whant to make a job in government sector choose to go with DRDO,NDA,ARMY and RESEARCH AND DEVELOPEMENT FIELD
Even simple option is join a computer language and come out of your profession and grab a job in different field as well and shine as you like

To join in Merchant Navy you should complete graduation.

In Merchant Navy mainly tasks performed in 3 ways:

1)Marine Engineering.

2)Deck Cadet.

3)Nautical Science.

Eligibility Criteria For Merchant Navy:

>>You should have the subjects maths,physics and chemistry in 12 standard.

>>If You have to completed marine engineering You can join in merchant navy.

>>If you have completed mechanical engineering you can join in merchant navy

>>You should have a minimum of 55% in graduation.

Age Limit:

>>The Age should not be more than 25 years.

>>There is an age relaxation available for female (2 yrs) and SC/ST /OBC (5 yrs) candidates.

>>The eyesight should be 6/6 in each eye without any visual problem.

>>You have to write entrance exam to join in this course.If you are selected in the exam then you
will get seat in the particular institute.

>>After qualifying in the entrance you will be trained for one year.

Through Direct entry student holding a bachelor's degree in Mechanical/ Electrical/ Technology Engineering can join as a Engine Cadet/ Fifth Engineer/ Junior Engineer.

But you are required to undergo basic pre-sea training arranged by the recruiting company itself....

Direct entry Engineering cadets are preferred to do a Pre-sea course of 9 months duration in Marine Engineering conducted by the MERI...

candidate with direct entry will be able to join as s ordinary seaman (OS) in Indian & Foreign shipping companies as a G.P crew and he work as a deck or engine crew. ..

With father sea services they will be promoted as DECK SERANG, BOSUN,ABLE BODIES SEAMAN, others.

They can also be promoted to the officers level with certain services & qualification requirements.

But if the candidate have completed B.Tech course from following institution then he can apply for
