The eligibility criteria for b.ed is graduation with 50% marks....& there is marks relaxation for sc/st/obc candidate...so you can easily do b.ed after b.tech.

Yes, you definitely stand a fair chance to pursue Bachelor in Education (Spcl/ Not Spcl) after completing your Bachelors in Technology.

    * the aggregate should be considering all the subjects in three years except those subjects where only pass marks are required and which do not contribute to the total in the (degree) marksheet.
    * the applicant must have at least one School subject* at the graduation level as a main subject.

A masters degree candidate can also apply:
    *M.A./M.Sc./M.Com./Acharya students are eligible
    * one has to secure a minimum of 50% marks in the aggregate.
*one should have at least one school subject at the graduation or post-graduation level as a main subject

The 5 groups in B.Ed are
    (A) Languages (B) Life Sciences (C) Physical Sciences (D) Mathematics and (E) Humanities and Social Sciences.

*A candidate to be eligible for particular group should have studied at least any one subject at graduation level (at least for two years)/post graduation level as a main subject

    ## The School subjects are:
Hindi, Sanskrit, English, Science (Physics and/or Chemistry), Biology (Zoology and/or Botany), Mathematics, Economics, Commerce, History (or AIHC & Arch.), Geography, Political Science (or Civics), Home Science

    ## The main subjects are:
    Hindi/English/Sanskrit, Botany/Zoology/Chemistry/Home Science, Physics/Chemistry/Mathematics, Maths/Statistics, History or AIHC and Arch. /Geography/ Economics/Political Science/ Commerce

##The candidate appearing for the B.Ed./B.Ed. (Spl.) entrance test will have to choose only one group and will have no option to change his/her subject group if once allotted.

    Dear Candidate,

I think there is no need of doing B.Ed after B.tech..

You have to go for higher studies..

Go for M.Tech... then give UGC NET exam and join lectureship

Re: Is it possible to do B.Ed after B.Tech?

    Hello my dear friend.........

yes of course you can do B.Ed after your B.Tech

but why you want to do it

if you want to be a teacher then you can go for M.Tech

and you will be a good teacher in engineering colleges

the opportunity and scope is fa better than B.ED

you can be specialized in your own subjects

there are lots of vacancies in faculties in good colleges

the total eligibility for M.TECH is:-

**you should be engineering degree holder in any branch

**your age should be in between 22-30

**you should clear the GATE exam

thank you and hope this will help you...................

No B.tech students are not allowed for B.ed programm.

Its a teacher training programm of One year.
    Eligibility for B.ed:

you must have graduation degree in science ,art .commerce minimum passed with 50% or some colleges takes 55% passed out candidates.

So you cannot apply for B.ed programm.
