i am sorry to say but according to the rules of government it is not possible to change the subject after completing 1st yr.you can also check in the information brousher that was provided to you at the time of admission.computer engineering is a very good and developing branch.but still you can gjave a talk with the institution about the change of subject in which you studing.

1st year most of the colleges allows you to change your course because in most of the colleges in India have 1st year only as a bridge course between school studies and college studies. So you can bravely talk to the management and change your course. But first decide which course will be better for you in future.

This is very rare of changing from one stream to another .
But yes this can be happen in some colleges only .

There is a rule that if you be a topper in your institution then you are asked whether you are willing to change for any other branch in the same college .
This is the only way of migrating from one to another .
This completely depends on college and its affiliated university .

As you are in CSE the better you can go for is ECE (Electronics and Communication Engineering) .
Because this an evergreen course .
Once you complete ECE you can get into either Computers field or the core one Electronics side depending on the boom and personnel interest .
This branch is commonly offered by all the Engineering colleges .
The scope of this stream sounds good , you can get into both Govt Sector and Private MNC companies .

My pesonal suggestion to you that you should not change your branch because computer is very good branch in today's era,but its your choice.

If you want to change your branch,its only possible when your college have any vacant seat in any other branch in second year,only then you can apply to change your branch.

You have to fill the form,after filling form on the base of your first semester marks you will get choices.

IF you want to change from computer then you should go for mechanical branch,its a evergreen branch,you will get a lot of career opportinities in future.

In some colleges you can change your course.

Its better to go change the course in same field.You have to go for ECE or Civil.

Computer science is one of the best course.If you have not intersted in this course you can go for ECE.

AND THE GOOD BRANCH TO CHANGE IS CIVIL OR MECH

yes you can change your stream after completing 1st year but it could be done according to the guide lines of your college and university, that is you need to have good percentage and atendance to change your stream. it could be done two ways.
1) one is simply to get into another stream if the seats are empty.
2) and another method is swapping( by interchanging seats with another student who is intrested in your stream).

Yes it is possible.After completion of your 1st B Tech You can change the college.

But it is a very difficult process.

It is purely depends upon you.

Your management will ask you ,what's the reason,why you can change the college.

Yes you can change your branch after 1st year but it completely depends upon your first year performance and there some exception,i mean in some exceptional colleges there is no such rule to change the branch for the 2nd year!!!!!!
Well if u get the chance to change the branch then i would suggest that you should go for a core branch because as compared to software branch,core branch gives more secured future and among the core branch electrical is a bit tough so u may go for mechanical,civil,chemical and even electronics and telecommunication is also a good branch so it depends upon you that in which subject you have great command you should choose that subject only i.e for
mechanical- your mechanics portion should be clear
for electronics branch semi conductor portion should be clear,for chemical chemistry equations.........so all the best,hope you get the chance to change it and choose a good branch!!!!!!

Yes , you can change in any of stream but you must be top in first year so that you can go in any branch but it is a rare operation and university is also involve in these matter.
and if you got chance to change your field better to go for ECE (Electronic and communication and engineering) and CIVIL engineering is also good , these both are ever green branch's.
If you got good percentage you can get job in MNC's . 70% is best .
you can also go for higher study s that is M.Tech through GATE entrance exam and also MS through GRE in abroad,
