    hello,
    i am a student of b.tech(electrical) student,can i become a pilot after b.tech????

    Hi friend,

    Yes you might become a commercial pilot,or a flying Pilot in IAF(Indian air force).Both are different from each other in eligibility,Training fees,Salary pacage etc.

    In indian airforce you can aplly for flying pilot post in 3 differnt way:

    IAF takes the FTS for flying (Pilot) (SSC)
    Institute give training process to selected candidates.Centers for applying FTS:
    • Delhi
    • Noida
    • Chandigarh

    Eligibility Criteria to apply For Flying (Pilot)
    • you must pass graduation in any field with at least 60 % aggregate
    • you must have passed Mathematics and Physics in 10+2
    • you must younger than 23 years of age.
    • Upper age limit for student having valid and current Commercial Pilot Licence(CPL) given by DGCA (india ) is relaxed upto 25 yeras.
    • you can also apply for this reputed Post if you are in final year
    National Cadet Corps Special Entry ( Through CO NCC Unit / DG NCC )
    • you must pass graduation (Three Year Course ) in anybranch from a recognised university (with Physics and Mathematics at 10+2 level) / BE / B Tech (Four Year Course) with atleast 60% aggregate
    • Final Year students can also apply,if they do not have any backlog and have min 60% aggregate till previous year / semester.
    • Upper age limit for studennts having valid and current Commercial Pilot Licence(cpl) given by DGCA (india ) is relaxed upto 25 yeras.


    Combined Defence Services Examination (CDS) written test conducted by UPSC.

    Eligibility for the same:
    • Educational Qualifications:
    • you must pass graduation (Three Year Course ) in anybranch from a recognised university (with Physics and Mathematics at 10+2 level) / BE / B Tech (Four Year Course) .
    • Final Year students can also apply, provided thay do not have any backlog.
    • No Percentage Bar for CDSE entry.
    • Men join the Air Force through this mode will be given a Permanent Commission.


    To become a Commercial pilot
    :
    • you need to join Air flying schools after completion of 10+2 with non-medical science stream with atleast 50% aggregate.
    • you have to clear entrance exam of the flying schools.
    • you have to pass physical fitness test.
    • Fees is very high for education about 15-20 lakhs.

    Airlines takes you in first as trainee, after successful training you are posted as pilot and you can earn as much as high 1.5 to 2 lakhs per month .But after completion of training your Regular checkups are done,if there is any problem in your health your license is cancelled..

    hai friend you are intresting to wright upsc exams after completing B.TECH civil you are eligible to wright IES(CIVIL) IT IS PURILY DEPENDS ON THE CORE SUBJECTS AND THE FIRST TWO PAPERS ARE common to all members having genreral..better to solve both IAS AND IES papers

    Yes this is one of the best options for girls. This field needs good communication skills and generally girls have good communication skills. also this course is of less duration then B.TECH. one thing that needed to be keep in the mind is that you must find a good college for this course which can provide good training option during courses. This part is most important part of this course. so if you have proper guidance you can opt for this option.

    Yes of course , you can be a pilot after completing your engineering. Indian Air force provides a lot of scope for girls to join them.You can join their various branches. For joining the IAF flying branch, u can go in for the Short service Commission scheme, were you can be an IAF officer for 14years only. But most importantly you should be medically fit. Being an officer in the Indian Air Force is really prestigious.

    FRIEND,

    Yes It is possible to become a Pilot after completing B.TECH course in graduation and there are two areas where you can become a Pilot and they are:

    1)INDIAN DEFENCE FORCES
    2)CIVILIAN PILOT IN INDIAN AIRLINES

    To become a Pilot in INDIAN AIR FORCE you have to appear in the CDS examination which is conducted every year twice.

    ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA FOR CDS:


    1)You must have done graduation or in the final year of graduation in any field from any recognixed University.

    2)If you wanted to join INDIAN AIR FORCE or INDIA NAVY then you must be in the engineering or must have taken PHYSICS AND MATHEMATICS in the 12th class Level.

    3)Age Eligiblity for CDS Examination :

    * For IMA : 19 to 24 Years
    * For OTA : 19 to 25 years
    * For Naval : 19 to 22 years
    * For Air Force : 19 to 23 years.

    4)You must be an INDIAN CITIZEN.

    THE SCHEME OF EXAMINATION:
    • English 100 marks
    • General Knowledge 100 Marks
    • Elementary Mathematics 100 Marks

    ->Elementary mathematics is not for the OTA students.

    So You are eligible to appear in the exam.

    The Other way is that you go for Pilot course in training institutes.

    There are three types of Licences and they are:
    • Student Pilot License
    • Private Pilot Licence
    • Commercial Pilot License
    • Airline Transport Pilot's License

    ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA FOR THIS IS:

    1) You must have done Class XII under the 10+2 system or its equivalent with a minimum of 50 per cent marks in Mathematics and Physics.

    2) You must be minimum 16 years of age to be eligible for a Private Pilot License and 17 for a Commercial Pilot License.

    3) Your vision in one eye must be perfect. In general medical terminology, it is called 6/6 eyesight. In the other eye, you could have an imperfection of 6/9, which must be correctable to 6/6.

    4)General physical fitness is mandatory. You must be free of any disease that can hamper normal function.

    Yes of course you are eligible to become a pilot
    I suggest you to complete your graduation and appear for the AFCAT exam
    It is conducted twice yearly and it is really your stepping stone
    All you need is to have a good knowledge in aptitude and verbal reasoning
    apart from that you must also be good at logical resoning also
    so go ahead and prepare well

    Yes you can become a Pilot after graduation that is B.TECH and you have to
    appear in the entrance exam of the INDIAN AIR FORCE called CDSE(COMBINED DEFENCE SERVICES EXAM)

    This exam is conducted every year twice.

    For this you have to apply for the Exam and the Dates for the notifications and Date are given below.

    The IMPORTANT DATES OF THE EXAM ARE:

    C.D.S. EXAM.(I), 2012

    * Date of Notification:29.10.2011
    * Last date for receipt of applications: 28.11.2011
    * Date of Commencement of examination and its duration: 12.02.2012

    C.D.S. EXAM.(II), 2012

    * Date of Notification:02.06.2012.
    * Last date for receipt of applications: 02.07.2012
    * Date of Commencement of examination and its duration: 16.09.2012

    After applying for the exam you have to appear in it and clear it.

    The exam consists of three papers an they are:

    THE SCHEME OF EXAMINATION:
    • English 100 marks
    • General Knowledge 100 Marks

    There is some eligibility criteria to be eligible to apply for the exam.

    After B.Tech course joining in Air Force is not a tedious process as you can opt for the entrance exams like CDS,AFCAT which gives opportunity to join in Air Force.

    • CDS - Combined Defence Service
    • AFCAT - Air Force Common Admission Test



    To tell about the CDS Exam it is one of the defence service exam and is carried out by UPSC every year.Regarding the AFCAT exam it is classified as:

    Candidate must have completed a degree in Aeronautical Engineering with 60% aggregate.
