    Is it possible to appear in NET/SET Exam after securing 56% marks in MA under distance education?

    Can anybody go for SET or NET exam having secure 56% marks in M.A. under distance education?

    NET stands for National Eligiblity Test and this examination was conducted by UGC Twice in a year.
    SET Stands for State Eligiblity Test and this examination was Accredited by U.G.C and Conducted by
    University Of Pune.

    >> The NET Examination was held Twice in a year, June and December every year, The June NET examination was already completed and Eligible and Interested candidates may apply for December NET Examination. The Notification of December NET Examination was Published in the employment newspaper or in the official website in the month of September and the examination was going to be held on december 2011.

    >> To apply for NET/SET Examination, You need to be a Post graduate in any discipline form a recognised university and you must have scored minimum 55% marks in your Post graduation examination, You have already completed your MA Degree course and You have also scored minimum 56% marks, so you are eligible for NET Examination.

    >> So, candidates must have Master's Degree from an institution recognized by U.G.C. If your college is recognised by UGC then you are eligible for NET/SET Examination.

    >> The Notification of SET Examination was already Updates in the official website and the registration process was already started form 17/Aug/2011. Candidates may apply for this examination Online, The examination fees of SET was Rs 550 for general candidates.

    >> There are three papers in NET/SET Examination and all these papers was conducted in same day in two session, First two papers was objective and Last paper was Subjective, Candidates may choose the subjects in NET/SET as per the post graduate subjects.

    Yes,you are eligible for NET/SET exam.
    The eligibility for NET/SET is as follows:
    -Masters degree with at least 55% marks.
    -Age limit:
    For NET: 1)Junior Research Fellowship: max 28yrs.
    2)Lectureship: no upper age limit.
    For SET: no upper age limit.

    As you have scored 56% marks.you can apply for it.

    Friend,

    Yes you are eligible for the NET exams.

    The Eligibility is:

    1) A student must have secured at least 55% marks in Masters Degree in Humanities (including languages) and Social Sciences,Computer Applications, Electronic Sciences etc. are eligible for this test.

    There is relaxation in marks for SC/STof 5% marks i.e 50% marks.

    2)The students which are in the final year or have appeared for Masters degree or equivalent examination are also eligible for the test.

    3)The Ph.D. degree holders also has relaxation of 5% marks.

    Age Limit : The upper age limit for being eligible for the test is as under :

    1)For Junior Research Fellowship (JRF):

    ->A Candidate must be above 28 years for December / June Exam of the corresponding year,

    A relaxation of 5 years to SC/ST/OBC,physically handicapped and women candidates.

    2) For Lecturership:

    There is no upper age limit.

    PAPERS ARE THREE:

    Paper I 100 and 1hour and 15 min.

    Paper II 100 and 1hour and 15 min.

    Paper III 100 and 2hour and 30 min.


    The amount of the fellowship is Rs.12,000/- per month at present.The fellowship for the third and subsequent years will be Rs. 14,000/- per month.

    NET is one of the UGC entrance exam and it stands for National Eligibility Test which is held National level.This exam is conducted twice in a year namely in the months of June and December



    SET is also one of the UGC entrance exam and it stands for State Eligibility Test which is held State level.

    Both the exams have alike eligibility and you must satisfy all of them to be eligible for the NET/SET exam.

    Eligibility:

    Candidate must be a citizen of India.

    Candidate must have done his/her post graduation from a recognized university with 55% aggregate and for SC/ST/VH/PH candidates it is 50%.

    M.C.M. students are not allowed to appear for SET

    Candidates must have a age limit of 19-28 years for JRF.

    There is no upper age limits for SET exam.

    Candidates should appear with the subject of their post graduation for both NET and SET.

    The candidates who are waiting for their results or writing their final degree exam are also eligible to apply for this exam.

    National Eligiblity Test and this examination was conducted by UGC Twice in a year.The NET Examination is conducted twice a year.The examination is generally done in the month of June and December every year.You can not apply for the June examination but you apply for the December examination but notification is not yet announced .Only those students who have done post graduation can apply for the exams.

    ELIGIBLITY

    Those students who have got masterís Degree with 55% from universities recognised by UGC you can apply for the examination

    Final year students are also take the exam.

    Age limit ::

    For Junior Research Fellowship - You should be not more than 28 years. A relaxation upto 5
    years is provided to SC, ST and for OBC candidates.

    For Lectureship - There is no upper age limit for applying for lectureship.

    Examination Pattern There will be total three papers in the examination .one paper is common for all students who have applied for the NET examination .Two papers will be done on the optional subjects which you have chosen .

    Paper-I :: It is done to test the teaching/research aptitude in the students. Question asked will be based on ::

    Reasoning ability
    Comprehension
    Divergent thinking
    General awareness.

    Paper-II :: Objective types and on the optional subjects

    Paper-III :escriptive questions on the subjects chosen by the students .

    For NET/SET you require to have a post graduation degree from a recognised university with minimum 50% marks.
    As you fulfill both the eligibility so you are eligible.

    Educational Qualification :
    The candidates with 55 % are eligible in post graduation for The NET / SET examination.

    And 50 % for sc/st candidates.

    Age limit :
    No upper age specified for Lectruership post.

    For Junior Research Fellowship :
    28 years is the upper age limit and after this age limit you cannot apply for JRF post.

    THe is conducted to Award the candidates for Reserach fellowship and for Lectruership post.

    The NET qualified candidates can apply for Lectruership post in any
    part of the India.
    And SET qualified can apply only for the desired state for which they apply.

    Examination is conducted two times in one year in the month of June and December.
    The notifications were established on website. You have to fill the form online .
    No offline Mode.
