a candidate is eligible for iitjee only after one completes his 12th and once in the next consecutive year. iit gives only these two chances to a single candidate for the iitjee exam.so, u can't go for it now. instead, you can go for m.tech entrances of iit. all the best.

dear friend, if you are just passed +2 with 60% aggregate marks& get admission in BE. & you are a 1st yr student, then you are eligible for IIT-JEE.
because as per criteria of IIT a student with 60% in +2 & a year gap of maximum 1 year can appear for IIT-JEE & get admission in IIT.
    All the best.

Re: Is it possible to appear for IIT JEE after B.tech(EEE)?

    friend,

i am providing you the eligibility criteria ,from this you will get to know that you are eligible or not.
Indian Institutes of Technology Ioint Entrance Examination(IIT JEE) Eligibility Qualification:

A candidate has to satisfy ALL the eligibility conditions given below:

*A candidate can attempt JEE only twice, in consecutive years.
*Candidates should have either passed the qualifying examination in the year of the test or the year previous to it. They should also satisfy the specific eligibility criteria in the qualifying examination.
*Candidates should meet the age requirements given below.
*Candidates should NOT have accepted admission by paying full fees at any of the IITs, IT-BHU, Varanasi or ISMU, Dhanbad, through earlier JEE.

    Qualifying Examination:

Candidates applying for JEE 2012 should have either passed after October 1, 2009, or should be appearing in IIT JEE 2012 in any one of the following qualifying examinations.
    1. The final examination of the 10+2 system, conducted by any recognized Central/State Board, such as Central Board of Secondary Education, New Delhi; Council for Indian School Certificate Examination, New Delhi; etc.
    2. Intermediate or two-year Pre-University Examination conducted by a recognized Board/ University.
    3. Final Examination of the two-year course of the Joint Services Wing of the National Defence Academy.
    4. General Certificate Education (GCE) Examination (London/Cambridge/Sri Lanka) at the Advanced (A) level.
5.High School Certificate Examination of the Cambridge University.
    6. Any Public School/Board/University Examination in India or in any foreign country recognized by the Association of Indian Universities as equivalent to the 10+2 system.
    7. H.S.C. Vocational Examination.
    8. Senior Secondary School Examination conducted by the National Open School with a minimum of five subjects.
    9. 3 or 4-year Diploma recognized by AICTE or a State Board of Technical Education.
In case the relevant qualifying examination is not a public examination, the candidate must have passed at least one public (Board or Pre-University) examination at an earlier level.

    Eligibility Criteria in Qualifying Examination:

Candidates belonging to General (GE), Other Backward Classes (OBC) and DS categories must secure at least 60% marks in aggregate in their Qualifying Examination. Candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST) and Physically Disabled (PD) categories must secure at least 55% marks in aggregate in the Qualifying Examination. The percentage of marks awarded by the Board will be treated as final. If the Board does not award the percentage of marks, it will be calculated based on the marks obtained in all subjects listed in the mark sheet. If any Board awards only letter grades without providing an equivalent percentage of marks on the grade sheet, the candidate should obtain a certificate from the Board specifying the equivalent marks, and submit it at the time of counselling. In case such a certificate is not provided by the candidate, then the decision of the Joint Implementation Committee of JEE-2011 regarding his/her eligibility shall be final.

Sorry, you are not applicable to write the iitjee exam after the graduation i.e. B.Tech(EEE) because for the iitjee exam you have only two chance one is, in which year you give your 12th standard exam and second is just next year of your 12th standard exam.......
For completing B.Tech you take the gape of four year which is not allowed....

no its not possible. For B.tech in IIT you can appear twice, with two consecutive years after your 12th. Now you can try for M.tech in IIT through GATE.

Yes you can do IIT after doing B.Tech(EEE).
but for doing IIT and B.Tech you must be 12th paas.
Remember one thing that you are going to do double graduation if you select IIT after B.Tech.

There will be a problem only if you had answer JEE before as they say you can answer JEE for consecutive 2 attemtps, so if you appeared for IIT even once then you cnat apply for it after your Btech.

If you didnt tried IIT even once then i think there would be no issue.. you can apply for it.

n yeaa.. MAximum age limit for IITJEE is 21 years.. so no problem you can give exam at the age of 21 years..

    All d best

No dear you can't. You should now look for other option to enhance your career as only 2 consecutive attempts is available for IIT till the age of 19 years and you passed that.

Re: Is it possible to appear for IIT JEE after B.tech(EEE)?

Well dear why do you want to do so is not understandable by me. This kind of foolish decision.....!

GOD knows what happened to youths Science students that all are just running nehind the IIT brand, without thinking of there present situation and pros and cons. They are just running behind the brand of IITs and NITs. Its a common analysis observed among the those who have studied the 1st semester of B.Tech or 1st year of B.sc have developed a common thinking that now I can better crack IITJEE, and this result in distraction of mind as a result many loose some of the best opportunities and some even get there career in danger.

However, no matters that you are within the age limit of 24 years to appear for IITJEE but instead of that not eligible for it. IITJEE has set maximum number of attempts allowed to appear for IITJEE is 2 times in 2 consecutive years. That's mean if you are passing your +2 in the year 2011 then you can appear for IITJEE in 2011 and 2012, and not more furtherer times.

You haven't mentioned in which year you are studying or in which year you have passed your +2. However, since IITJEE 2011 dates are already over and even results are announced you can not appear for it. In this case you can appear for it only if you have passed your +2 in 2011, so you would be eligible for IITJEE 2012, other wise not.

    No dear,
you are not eligible for appear in IIT-JEE now at this age.
and do you want to waste your 4years of graduation for taking admission into good college.
Forget about that you should think about what should do after graduation in future,
and how to make future better after completion of graduation,
my answer is continue your studies in the same college and try to get good percentage,
you can pursue your m TECH in IIT just apply for GATE exam after B TECH or in the pre-final year of B TECH as Gate score is valid for 2 years.
you have to score at least 96% in GATE to get into IIT colleges.
    Good luck...!!!

After your B. Tech course you will be overaged because there are four years to complete B. Tech. Not only that if you again join B. Tech course you will have to study for four more years. It will be just waste of time as you can join only in one of the fields either electrical or Aeronautical. So it will be better for you to do M. Tech course after B. Tech. Electrical Engineering is a good option in career point of view

    Sorry friend,

As you may be heard that " Time once passed can not be Warp again " thus it's not possible for you to appear IIT JEE examination once again after coming out of eligibility..

As IIT JEE specified age limit is crossed as per condition given below...

    Age eligibility :-
    • For GE and OBC categories, only those candidates whose date of birth falls on or after October 1, 1986 are eligible to appear in JEE-2011.

    • And student belonging to SC, ST, and PD candidates who are born on or after October 1, 1981 are eligible to appear in JEE-2011.

Re: Is it possible to appear for IIT JEE after B.tech(EEE)?

No you cannot write IIT-JEE exam after graduation as it is for admission to undergraduate courses in IITs across India. As you are doing B.Tech Electrical already so you can give GATE(Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering) exam after graduation conducted by IITs for admission to M.Tech program at IITs across India.Several other private colleges and universities use GATE score as their eligibility criteria to give admission.GATE scores are valid for 2 years so it should be taken care of.This exam can be be given after graduation or in the final year of study. There are two attempts to take this exam.
You can also give CAT/XAT exam for admission to top B-schools of India after graduation for doing MBA.It is a 2 hours 30 minutes test including initial 15 minutes tutorial. It consists of about 60 questions.Ahmedabad,Mumbai,Delhi,Nagpur,Hyderabad, Lucknow,Bhopal,Bhubaneshwar,Chandigarh,Chennai,Pat na,Pune,Kolkata,Jamshedpur, varanasi, etc. are the various test centres where you can take the CAT exam.

Re: Is it possible to appear for IIT JEE after B.tech(EEE)?

Sorry friend , it is not possible for you to appear in IIT-JEE entrance exam. Though the maximum age limit for IIT-JEE is 24 years but there is a academic condition in it. The candidate has only 2 chances to appear in IIT-JEE in whole life. The 1st chance in given in the year of passing 12th exam and the 2nd chance is given in the next consecutive year.
So you have only the option of M.Tech in IITs through GATE entrance exams. There are very great demand of M.Tech holders in public and private sectors. After B.Tech either you have to search a job or you can do further studies like M.Tech ;MBA ; MS etc.

    Thank you.Regards.

IIT ..Why you are looking for IIT now-
First tell me which course you want to do in IIT.
Because IIT institutes have many courses.
If you are looking for MTech at IIT So you have to need Crack GATE exam which is also very tough exam.
And if you looking for IIT-JEE exam then my friend you are not eligible for IIT-JEE now.
I think Age factor is responsible here so i think you should to try for GATE exam.

    Hi friend,

You are not eligible for IIT-JEE because of two reasons......

Every student passing 10+2 exam can give exam only two times .
Your age will be more after, so you cannot apply.
Two attempts must be consecutive including 10+2 .

Dear this a very hypothetical situation that you are thinking about.
First of all you are not eligible for this .
    You must have passed the qualifying examination i.e;
12 th either this year or year previous to this one.
And even if you were eligible it would have been
a wrong decision to do so.
How can you again study for four years . Your four
precious years will be wasted.Better concentrate of
doing something else liking cracking GATE or CAT.
