Since you have a MSc. degree in Microbiology surely you can pursue a PH.D in Life Science. This field is suitable for those who have a research mind. They should possess analytical skills. You need to begin with making a list of institutes offering PH.d course. Most of the institutes will be having their own entrance exam. The entrance exam will be related to the areas you studied during the Masters course. Some of institutes conducting their own entrance exam include the Jawaharlal Nehru University, MSU Baroda Life Science entrance exam, NIRRH Entrance exam. Also there is the CSIR-NET-JRF exam conducted for all those who aspire to enter the research field. On clearing the entrance exam you will be called for a personalized interview. You need to clear the interview round to be taken in by the institute.

It is great to see your interest towards pursing a Ph.D after M.Sc in Microbiology. This shows your inclination towards research field. There are many establishments in India and also abroad which offer various Ph.D programs for qualified students. As to join in to a Ph.D program you need to have a minimum of 55% aggregate marks in the Post Graduation. There are various Ph.D entrance exams in India. Some of them are CSIR UGC NET, SET, TIRF and NISER NEST Ph.D entrance Exam. You have to qualify in any of these as per the requirement of the institution which you desire to join. You may also need to attend an interview before being finally selected. With an M.Sc in Microbiology you are eligible to join Ph.D programs in any stream of the Life Science.

    hii
you can do Phd after MSCin microbio and youyr desire shows that you are interested in research.for this purpose you need to one the JRF exam -CSIR,UGC,ICMR,DBT AND GATE.
then apply to various institutes such as iit's,aiims jnu, NII, and various other universities.
if you are interested in doing Phd from outside india s,then you should work in a project as JRF in iNDIA then apply in other countries for Phd .
