Re: How can I change my career from Accounts to Economics?

Dear, I am really sorry but it is not possible right now to shift from arts to commerce right now as in, you cannot expect to go for M.Com at all. For going to M.Com you will have to be a B.Com first, but already you have done B.A. and that too in 2007. If you want then again you will have to go back from the higher secondary level and again go for B.Com. Also you have a 5 year gap. So mostly no college will take you for regular graduation course. So you will require to go for B.Com in private. There are many institutes which take private candidates like Utkal university, Bardhhaman university. You can join any such university and go for B.Com courses.
You can do one more thing and that is to go for MBA course. Since you have done B.A. admission in MBA would not be a problem, if only you have clear any common entrance test for MBA. There are many common entrance tests for MBA like CAT/MAT/GMAT/GPAT/NIPER/SNAP etc. You will have to clear it with the score or percentile required. Then since MBA does not have a restriction on the discipline of graduation, you will be able to apply for MBA. Just you will need a 50% or more in your graduation. Since you are wanting in accounts genre, go for MBA in accountancy. But you are from arts genre, and the genre I am suggesting is business and accountancy mixed up. Think if you can cope with it, then take up the stream.
