    dear friend,
    C.A. has 3 steps..
    CPT (common proficiency test)
    IPCC/PCC (Integrated proficiency competence examination)
    3 years articleship...then you are eligible for giving C.A final exam
    subjects in CPT are : merchantile law, quantitative aptitude, economics and accounts
    COMMON PROFICIENCY TEST (CPT) is one paper of Four hours duration of 200 Marks divided in 4 section namely-
    Section A: Fundamentals of Accounting ( 60 Marks )
    Section B: Mercantile Law ( 40 Marks )
    Section C: General Economics ( 50 Marks )
    Section D: Quantitative Aptitude ( 50 Marks)
    After clearing your CPT you can enroll yourself for IPCC.

    -->The Charted Accountant Common Proficiency Test(CA CPT) is meant for the talented candidates who are looking for an excellent career in Charted Accountancy.

    -->This is an Entry Level Exam for all those who are aspiring to enter in CA field.

    Structure of CA CPT Exam :-

    **It is a multiple choice question based exam which willbe conducted in two sessions.

    **Exam can be taken in Online and Paper-Pencil Mode.

    **Negative Marking is there.

    Syllabus of the CA-CPT :-

    1.Quantitative Aptitude

    2.Mercantile Law

    3.Accounting

    4.General Economics

    **Section-I includes two sections with a total of 100 marks.

    **Section-A :-

    -->Fundamentals of Accounting--60 marks.

    The portions are

    1.Introduction to Accounting

    2.Special Transactions

    3.Bank Reconciliation

    4.Preparation of Final

    Eligibility Criteria :-

    **You should pass in +2 (OR) Equivalent exam from a recognized Institution.

    **The exam notification is announced by the Institute of Charted Accountant in India.

    **Candidates can register for the exam by filling in an application form along with an exam fee of Rs. 600/-.

    Important Dates of CA CPT :-

    -->The paper pencil is conduced in the month of June and December,2012.

    -->The June is conducted is on Usually 3Rd weed week of June,2012.

    -->The online registration will conducted 4 times in a year.

    -->Exam will be in the months of August,September,October and December,2012.

    CA CPT -- Chartered Accountant Common Proficiency Test .



    CA CPT Exam is conducted by Institute of Chartered Accountants of India for admitting students to Chartered Accountancy course.
    The test is an entry level exam & this exam is conducted 4 times in a year .

    The Eligibility Criteria for CA CPT Examination is :

    The students must have passed 10+2 examination or its equivalent , from any recognized University .
    Candidates who have passed B.Com, M.Com, LLB, ICWA, CS or MBA at the first attempt are also eligible to apply .
    The candidates who have appeared or appearing in final year of the qualifying examination, are also eligible to apply .

    So if you satisfy this criteria , then you are applicable for applying for this examinaion .
    After scoring good score you are placed in CA school for the course completion , once the course is completed then you have many options to become including CA .

    The exam is conducted in two modes : Paper Pencil Mode of Examination &
    Online Registration Mode of Examination .



    The general examination pattern of CA CPT Exam is :

    Paper Pencil Mode of Examination is conducted in morning session and evening session with each carrying two parts .
    For Online Registration Mode of Examination, the students have to fill an examination form Online and then, this examination is held at various centers across India.

    The entrance test consists of objective type questions.
    The medium of all the questions and instructions is English.
    The question paper follows negative marking scheme, which means one fourth mark is deducted for every wrong answer.

    It is a test of four subjects i.e. Accounting , Mercantile Laws , General Economics and Quantitative Aptitude .
    This test is of 200 marks.


    Job Prospects :


    The duty of Chartered accountant is to ensure that the financial transactions of an organisation are maintained according to the law, they also keep track of cost of management of the company and manage tax matters.
    Chartered accountants work as Finance Managers, Financial Controllers, Financial Advisors or Directors (Finance) and watch over the finances in the day to day management of companies.
    Their main areas of work include Accountancy, Auditing, Cost accountancy, Taxation, Investigation and Consultancy.

    Other career option:

    After passing the CA examination one could go for management Accountancy course.
    courses like Diploma in Insurance and Diploma in Information System Auditing.

    Ca-cpt exam can write 4 times in a year there are more instutions over india so the syllabus mainly based no comerce subjects that accounts, business and econmics later completing of the ca-cpt exam you must study the
    *IPCC/PCC
    *you have to complete three years article ship under any chart accountant

    CA is one of the respectable designation in India.But it requires a lot of hardwork and concentration.
    To become a CA.The very first stage is clearing CPT.
    C.A. is done in 3 steps..
    1) CPT (common proficiency test)
    2) IPCC/PCC (Integrated proficiency competence examination)
    3) 3 years articleship...then you are eligible for giving C.A final exam
