    NET stands for National Eligiblity Test
    SET stands for State Eligiblity Test

    To apply for Both these examination, You have to complete your Post graduate degree course from a recognised University with Minimum 55% Marks. If you have scored minimum 55% marks in your Post graduation then you are eligible to apply for NET/SET Examination.

    The eligibility Criteria for NET/SET Examination will be the same and the examination pattern are also same for Both the examination.

    NET Examination is Conducted by UGC, Twice in a year in the Month of June and December Every year and this examination is Conducted to determine eligibility for lectureship and for award of Junior Research Fellowship (JRF).

    SET Examination is Conducted by State Universities every year and SET qualified candidates will be eligible to apply for the post of lecturer only.

    >> If you have completed your Post graduate degree course with minimum 55% marks, then you are eligible for Both the examination.

    >> Final year appearing candidates are also apply for NET Examination.

    For Lectureship Post, your age should not less than 19 years and there is no upper age restriction.

    But for Junior Research Fellowship Post, Your age should between 19 to 28 Years, Upper age relaxation is applicable for SC/ST/OBC Candidates.

    The examination Fees of NET is Rs 450 and you have to pay the fees through challan form in SBI Bank and then you are eligible to fill Online application form.

    The examination is Conducted in 2 session and there are 3 papers in NET/SET Examination and you have to cracked all the papers.

    The First 2 papers is Objective and Last paper is Descriptive and you have to choose the subjects in NET on the Basis of Post graduation Only.

    The Syllabus and Previous year paper of NET Examination is Availiable in the official website.

    So, Please download the syllabus and Keep Practice accordingly, only then you will be able to cracked the NET Examination.

    If you try to solved previous year paper, then it will gives you confidence, how to solved the questions in the paper and you will easily attempt the whole paper in times. The books of NET Examination is availiable in the Books Stores and you can also download the NET Examination Material from the Internet, all the reading Materials of NET is availiable in the Internet.

    -->National Eligibility Test(NET) exam is conducted by University Grants Commission(UGC) every year for the post of Lectures and P.HD.

    -->It conducts twice in a year held in the month of June and December.

    -->The Notifications are published in the month of March and September in the weekly Journal of nation-wide circulation,Employment News........

    -->The results will be released in the month of October and April.

    Eligibility Criteria :-

    -->You should be a Master Degree Graduate in any stream like M.SC,M.COM............

    -->There is a 55% criteria is required for NET exam.

    -->A relaxation of 5% criteria is given to Sc/st Category Candidates.(50%).

    -->The Minimum age limit is 28 years.

    -->There is NO Upper age limit.

    -->NO Negative Marking in NET exam.

    Qualifying NET/SET exam is essential to build up a rewarding career in educational sector. The qualification helps the candidate to get in to educational institutions under governmental sector. The candidate who applies for this examination should possess certain fundamental requirements. Only PG holders from any of the recognized educational institutions can apply. The candidate should possess minimum 55% marks in the qualifying examination. NET exam is carried out by UGC where as SET exam is conducted state wise.
