    TET Exam : Teacher's Eligibility Test


    - You should have to complete your graduation from a recognized university and you must have B.Ed degree.

    - There is no upper age limit for this exam.

    - There is no limit for no. of attempts.

    - You have to score minimum 60 percent in the TET test to qualify for teaching jobs.

    Syllabus for TET exam:

    There are five subjects


    Language I

    Environmental studies

    Language II

    Child development and pedagogy

    Well TET stands for Teacher Eligibility Test.As the name indicates this exam is for those who want go fot teacher profession.

    Basically there are two papers 1 & 2.

    Paper 1 is for those teaching from standard 1 - 5 th and paper 2 is for those teaching from 6 - 8 th.

    It is conducted by both central govermeny and state goverment.It is conducted to improve the teaching standard in India.

    The following are the eligible criteria for writing this exam

    + Minimum Educational Qualification : B.Ed degree.

    + Age limit : No limit

    + Nationality : Indian

    +No.of attempt : No limit

    There is no upper age limit to apply for this

    You must have secured a minimum of 60% in Academics

    You must have a Graduation

    And you must have a B.Ed from a Recognized university

    There is no limit for attempts

    You must be an Indian Citizen

    You must not have any Backlogs ...etc.,

    TET stands for Teacher Eligibility Test .TET will be a compulsory and essential requirement for securing a teaching job in all types of schools.Every state conduct their own entrance exam .

    Some of the state recruit the candidate through B.Ed degree . So You must have a valid degree for B.Ed course.The certificate can not be more than 7 years old.

    There will be 2 papers with objective multiple choice questions. Each paper will consist of 150 questions. These papers are intended for different levels of teaching as described below.

    There is no upper age limit to apply for Teacher Eligibility Test (TET).

    Paper I: For those want to become teachers for classes I-V.
    Paper II: For those want to teach classes between VI and VIII.
    Paper I and II: Those interested in teaching from Class I to VIII will have to appear and qualify in both the papers.

    As specified above each section will have 30 questions of one mark each.
