If you want to be an IAS or IFS officer you should write and qualify the entrance exam conducted by UPSC.
Condition for eligibility is that you should be a degree graduate.
So, it really doesn't matters which you choose between B.Sc and B.Tech.

    Hello friend,

    >> The minimum educational eligibility criteria for IAS and IPS exam is that the candidate should finish his/her Bachelor's degree in any stream and in any recognized university.

    >> So, There is no restriction for you in choosing between Engineering (or) B.Sc course. You can select any one course which you are interested.

    >> But, When compare the standard of both Engineering and B.Sc, Engineering will have high standard than B.Sc course.

    >> By choosing Engineering, You can also have some knowledge in the first attempt of your IAS exam.

    >> To prepare for IAS exam, You should know the history of our Indian Assembly ans somewhat history of foreign countries.

    >> The IAS and IFS are conducted by UPSC (Union Public Service Commission).

    >> The eligibility criteria for IAS exam is as follows:-

    Good Luck!!!!!!!

You have select an optional subject from your subjects..
So you can get into either B.Sc or B.Tech as you wish

    ***Further study after 12th***

Between BSc and BE I will sugest you should go with BE. Engineering is the most folowed stream now a day. It is due to you are trained scientificly as well as comercialy about one science stream. That means you are about to made perfect through your stream insted of imparting only bookish knowledge.
Although if you want to do IAS in future you may also go with BSc. Since requirment for apearing IAS is graduate through any stream.
