    IES Stands for Indian Engineering Service examination

    If you have engineering degree then you are applicable for IES exam OR M.Sc. degree or equivalent with Wireless Communication, Electronics, Radio Physics or Radio Engineering as a special subject is also acceptable for certain posts.

    If You are from B-Tech or BE in CSE department then you are applicable for IES exam.

    Final year student also eligible for IES exam .

    The applicant age should be in between 21 yrs to 30 yrs.

    Number of Attempts:

    General Category:4 attempts
    OBC Category:7 attempts
    SC/ST Category: No limit

    Hi friend..........

    Diploma Mechanical Engineering candidates are not eligible for the IES exam.

    IES stands for Indian Engineering Service.

    This exam conducted by Union Public Service Commission once in a year.

    Eligibility Criteria:


    Candidates must be a citizen of India

    Candidates should be complete Graduation in any stream from a recognized University

    Final year appearing candidates also eligible for apply

    Candidates age limit between 21 to 30 years

    The upper age relaxation as per govt rules

    3 years age relaxation for OBC candidates

    5 years age relaxation for SC/ST candidates

    Number of Attempts :

    General candidates four times

    OBC candidates seven times

    SC/ST candidates no limit

    Selection Process :

    Preliminary Examination

    Main Examination

    Interview

    No you are not eligible for IES Examination .
    Diploma Degree holders are not eligible for IES Examination .

    To write IES Examination you must have to complete Bachelor Degree Course in Mechanical Engineering .

    To Write IES Examination the candidates having Bachelor Degree in Engineering are eligible .

    The candidates must have completd Engineering in following branch :
    Civil Engineering
    Mechanical Engineering
    Electrical Engineering
    Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering .

    Age limit : The candidates age must be between 21 years to 30 years .

    Age relaxation is given to reserved category candidates .

    Mechanical engineers are eligible for appearing to the IES Indian Engineering services Examination but the diploma holders are not eligible and you can apply for it after the completion of your graduation in the engineering course of study of the engineering course of study,so first complete your engineering after your diploma and then appear for the IES examination.........

    The Indian Engineering Services are one of the public sectors recruitments which are being conducted by the UPSC services and these engineering services are conducted all over the India for the recruitment in to the different public sectors for the respective branches of engineers for the recruitment in to these engineering services....

    There are some qualifications which are also needed to appear for the engineering services examinations and some of the qualifications which are needed are.......
    *Age Limit-
    should have attained the age of 21 years and should not exceed the age of 30 years
    *Educational Qualifications-
    should have completed the graduation course of study in the engineering of the respective branches of study such as the....
    Civil Engineering
    Mechanical engineering
    Electrical and Electronics engineering
    Electronics and Communication engineering
    These are the branches of engineering for which the IES examination is eligible for.......
    *Nationality-
    Only the candidates who belong to the Citizen of India are only eligible for the IES examination..........

    Dear Friend,

    Yes you can do the same.
    A diploma holder from a recognized university can apply IES examination.You age limit must be 21 to 30 years and you must be a Indian citizen.
