NO yet now in B.sc (IT) you are not eligible for Joining Indian army.

first you have to complete your graduation so that you can appear in CDS examination.Through CDSE you will be able to join Indian Army.

CDSE : Combined Defense services examination conducted by UPSC every year two times in one year.

Eligibility for CDSE :

Bachelor degree from a recognized university in any stream.

OR Final year candidates of Graduation are also eligible to apply.

THe examination is conducted for joining :

Indian Army OTA ,Airforce and naval accademy.

age limit for Indian army: your age must be of 19 years to 24 years.

So first complete the graduation...

Hey friend,

While pursuing your 1st year of B.Sc IT you cannot join in Indian Army which is a defence force of India.If you are interested means you could have applied for the NDA Exam while you were in +2 as the exam offers you to join in Indian Army.

But as you have doing your degree now you cannot join in Indian Army at this stage,but you can join in Indian Army when you complete your graduation with a fair percentage.

As when finishing your graduation or when writing your Final degree exam you can apply for the CDS Exam

This exam is one of the defence service exam conducted by UPSC(Union Public Service Commission).This exam is conducted as CDS I and CDS II.

For writing this exam the qualification which you need to possess are:

~ You need to be a citizen of India

~ The candidate appearing for the exam must be a unmarried male candidate

~ The age limit needed is that you need to have 19-24 years

~ Education qualification for the exam needed is that you need to have completed a degree from a recognized university with a fair percentage.

~ You need to be physically fit while appearing for the exam


If you satisfy them all then you can apply for the CDS Exam and you can apply for the exam in 2 modes:

You are not eligible to apply for Indian Army Examination .

According to CDS examination , you need to completed any degree with any discipline of a reputed Institution and those who have completed or awaiting the exam results may also eligible to apply for
Army Examination . But you should not have any standing arrears , if you have any standing arrears then you are not eligible to apply for this examination .

This(CDS) examination is conducted by Union Public Service Commission twice in a year for admission to the defence course like Military Academy , Naval Academy , Air force Academy , Officer Training Academy twice in a year and this year examination notification & last date for receipt of application was already closed .

To apply for the examination , you should have a minimum 19 years and maximum 24 years of age and No upper age limits . But Only Unmarried male candidates are eligible to apply .

Next notification will be publish in the month of Oct or November in the official website of Union Public Service Commission as well as employment news paper . The CDS information was available in other popular website also . You need to apply for this examination in only online mode and there is no offline mode application .

So first complete graduate degree then apply for this examination .
