Re: What to do after 10th to become a Chartered Accountant?

There is no such percentage requirement to be fulfilled in order to pursue CA(Chartered Accountancy) after completing senior secondary or higher secondary.

CA is a course which can be pursued directly after competing 12th standard. But the institute that conducts this exam has not specified any percentage which is necessary to score to appear or this examination.

So, you do not need to worry at all for the percentile, whenever you will score in 12th standard, you are eligible to appear for CA exam. The procedure to become a chartered accountant can be summarised as follows:
    • Firstly you have to appear for an entrance exam which is called CPT(Common Proficiency Test).
    • If you qualified the entrance exam , then you have to get registered for the intermediate level that is IPCC(Integrated Professional Competence Course). I f you qualified this exam then you would be eligible for the next level of exam
    • Third phase is the final level that is CA final exam. But before that you have to complete three years of article ship under any individual or any firm of CA's. After qualifying third level, you would become a chartered accountant.
    !! Good Luck !!

Re: What to do after 10th to become a Chartered Accountant?

    Hi friend

To become a Chartered Accountant you should follow these steps

    Level-1 CPT
    Level-2 Article training
    Level-3 IPCC
    Level-4 Final CA exams

    Level-1 CPT: Common Proficiency Test
Its nothing but entrance exam of CA
it will conducted two times in a year i.e. in the month of June and December
you have register for CPT by paying registration fee
then you will get the study material
it is the 200 marks paper you have score minimum 50% i.e. you will have to score 100 marks
then only you qualify for next level
and also it has negative marking for each wrong answers
so be careful while answering the questions

Once you qualify the CPT next level is Article Training
    under the specified CA officers

Next level is IPCC: Integreated Proficiency Competency Course
    it has 2 Groups like
    Group-1
    Group-2
you can attempt both exams or one by one

The last level is Final exam of CA
Once you complete and qualify all the above
Then you will become a Chartered Accountant

    Good Luck...

    Dear guest.....

I dont know from where you got this information that you can register after 10th standard, however i must say that your information is wrong.
You cant register after 10th standard.

To apply for the CPT exam, following eligibility criteria has to be fulfilled:

    # Passed the Senior Secondary examination i.e +2 or its equivalent from a recognized institution.
    # Also, students appearing for the senior secondary exam the same year, can also apply.

So, you are not eligible now.

Complete your class 12 and then you can apply for the exam the same year.

    good luck.....
