It's not equivalent to regular Msc program.As you know that in most of the universities only formalities are completed for regular Msc,thus there is not so much difference in both program.msc through correspondence is best option for working professionals,as they will perform all the necessary at that companies where they are working and theoretical examination will be taken by universities.Thus they will have degree+ experimental knowledge.this degree is recognized by ugc so you can apply for any job in India including teaching and further studies. with this degree you will be allowed to appear in UGC NET exam to get admission in Phd in some good colleges.some colleges which are offering the Msc through correspondence-
