    Eligibility for GATE Examination l:-

    * You must hold a Bachelor`s Degree in Engineering/Technology/ Architecture or you are in the final year of such course.
    *You must be in the second or higher year of the Four-year Integrated Master's degree programme (Post-B.Sc.) in Engineering/Technology.
    * You Must be in the fourth or higher year of Five-year Integrated Master's degree programme or Dual Degree programme in Engineering/Technology.
    *You must have qualified exams conducted by UPSC/AICTE/AMIE.

    Hello Friend

    GATE ( Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering ) is a common entrance test conducted every year All India for the young and meritorious aspirants who wanted to go for higher studies ( P.G ) M.tech programs in various India's top universities.

    Yes friend you are eligible for the GATE exam even if you are from GLA University, Mathura
    to write the GATE you must have to meet the educational qualification requirements that is set the board like

    1. Bachelor Degree in Engineering/Technology/Architecture ( 4 years after 10+2 ) and if you are in Final year of the course.

    2. Bachelor Degree in Engineering/Technology/Architecture ( Post B.Sc/Post Diploma ) and if you are in Final year of the course.

    3. Master Degree holders in any branch of Science/Mathematics/Statistics/Computer applications or equivalent and those who are in Final year of such programs.

    4. If you are in second or higher year of the four year Integrated Master Degree program ( Post B.Sc ) in Engineering/Technology.

    5. If you are in fourth or higher year of the Five year integrated Master Degree program or Dual Degree program in Engineering/Technology.

    6. If you have any qualification obtained through examinations by professional societies recognized by UPSC / AICTE as equivalent to B.E/B.Tech are also eligible.


    So dude these are the minimum eligibility requirement there is no particular age limit for the GATE exam to attempt.

    I say that GATE qualification is considered as one of the minimum requirement to apply for the various fellowships awarded by many government organizations.

    Every year GATE is conducted by 7 IIT's

    Indian Institute of Technology - Kanpur
    Indian Institute of Technology - Bombay
    Indian Institute of Technology - Delhi
    Indian Institute of Technology - Guwahati
    Indian Institute of Technology - Kharagpur
    Indian Institute of Technology - Madras
    Indian Institute of Technology - Roorkee and
    IISc ( Indian Institute of Science ) - Bangalore


    So dude the competition is very high and every year it is increasing so i say that you must work hard in order to crack the GATE exam with a good AIR as getting qualifying mark is not a big task.

    GATE every year is conducted by Online exam or Offline exam and your wish you can go for any attempt and it is conducted in Last Sunday of February month GATE 2012 is already finished if you want to attempt then you go for next year exam which the Dates are not yet released.

    GATE stands for Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering and it is an all India examination administered and conducted jointly by the Indian Institute of Science and seven Indian Institutes of Technology on behalf of the National Coordination Board every year. To apply for this examination you have to fulfill the given eligibility:

    You have to complete your Graduation/Post graduate degree course in Engineering/ Technology/ Architecture or in any branch of Science/ Mathematics/ Statistics/Computer Applications or equivalent. Final year appearing candidates are also eligible for GATE.

    For this year GATE Examination was already completed and if you are interested in this examination then please wait for Next year Notification. The Notification of GATE 2013 will be declared soon in this year may be in the month of October.

    There are 21 subjects list is available in GATE, But you have to choose any 1 of the subjects on the basis of your Graduation/Post graduation. The GATE examination consists of a single paper of 3 hours duration which contains 65 questions carrying a maximum of 100 marks. The question paper will consist of only objective questions. There will be negative marking for each wrong answer, except for the numerical answer type questions. Each GATE paper shall have a General Aptitude component carrying 15 marks.

    Please prepared for GATE Examination as per the syllabus and Pattern. The syllabus is available in the official website. You can easily download the GATE Syllabus and Keep Practice for this examination.

    Please take this examination very seriously because if you cracked this examination with good marks, then you will admitted in Government companies easily. Many government companies wants good GATE Scores. So please prepared well for GATE Examination and then apply for GATE.

    Hi friend,

    Well i am sorry to say that you are not allowed to appear in this examination since your college is not approved by AICTE and according to eligibility criteria of GATE you must hold a technical degree but your degree wont be regarded as Technical degree since your college is not approved by AICTE, your degree would be just regarded as simple graduation degree.

    Eligibility criteria of GATE :

    >>You may be a Bachelor degree holder in Engineering OR Technology OR Architecture (4 years after 10+2) and even if you are in the final year can also write GATE.

    >>You may be a Master degree holder in any branch of Science/ Mathematics/ Statistics/ Computer Applications or equivalent and even if you are in the final year of such programmes.

    >>If you are in the second or higher year of the Four-year Integrated Master degree programme (Post-B.Sc.) in Engineering/ Technology or in the third or higher year of Five-year Integrated Master degree programme and Dual Degree programme in Engineering/ Technology.

    >>Second MCA students are also eligible for GATE

    >>First and Second year MSc students are also eligible for GATE

    Where ever the students may be studying the students who completes their graduation in the engineering course are eligible for the gate exam to write and also it will be the all indian competitive exam to join in the IITs and NITs all over the country and you are eligible if your course is engineering from that college and it is also very good to say that all the PSUs are considering the Gate scores for the recruitment.

    ---- YES, you are eligible for the GATE because the eligiblity criteria are as follows:

    -----the acronym GATE stands for Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering

    eligibility:

    ------You must have pursued bachelors degree in Engineering/Technology/Architectrue which must be a 4 years course after completion of 10+2.

    ----- if You are pursuing final year of bachelors degree in Engineering/Technology/Architecture are also eligible to appear for this exam.

    ----- if You have Masters degree with any of the stream, you are eligible to appear for this exam.

    2.age limitations:

    -----no age limitations.

    note: after qualifying this exam with good marks, you may get admission in top IITs and also can get job in NTPC, ONGC, BHEL,SAIL etc

    Well, I am sorry that no you are not allowed to appear in GATE, since according to GATE's Eligibility criteria only B.tech / B.E. students are allowed and you hold an unapproved Technical degree by AICTE which is not a Technical degree officially , you just hold a graduate degree nothing else.

    If you've the following criteria then you're eligible for GATE exam even though you're from GLA university.

    Eligibility for GATE:

    >>You should be a Bachelor degree holder in Engineering OR Technology OR Architecture (4 years after 10+2) and even if you are in the final year can also write GATE.

    >>You should be a Master degree holder in any branch of Science/ Mathematics/ Statistics/ Computer Applications or equivalent and even if you are in the final year of such programmes.

    GATE score and percentile change with the standard of that year GATE question paper. If GATE paper is easy then most of the students get good ranks but the All India Rank(AIR) will be high too. If paper is tough then with less score one can get a very good all India rank.

    Yes You Can Appear !!



    GATE stands for Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering.

    This is an all India level exam being jointly conducted by Indian Institute of Science and 7 IIMs (Indian Institute of Management).

    Eligibility criteria to appear for GATE Exam.

    You should be of bachelors degree holders in Engineering/Technology/Architectrue which must be a 4 years course after completion of 10+2.

    You who are pursuing final year of bachelors degree in Engineering/Technology/Architecture are also eligible to appear for this exam.

    You have Masters degree with any of the stream are eligible to appear for this exam.

    There is no age criteria for GATE Exam.

    One can appear for GATE Exam irrespective of age if he meet academic criteria.

    There will be no limit on number of attempts for GATE Exam.

    You can appear for GATE Exam as many times as you wanted.

    From this academic year, pre final year candidates of Engineering are not eligible to appear for GATE Exam.
