    FRIEND,

    For IPS exam you have to appear in the CIVIL SERVICES exam and the exam for this is conducted by UNION PUBLIC SERVICE COMMISSION every year.

    Through this exam you can join Central Government jobs as IAS,IPS,IFS,IRS etc.

    The OPTIONAL SUBJECTS for the Mains exam are:



    So friend if you are from the agricultural field then you can select one subject as Agriculture from the list of above subjects as in Mains exam.

    ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA FOR THE EXAM IS:


    1)You must be an INDIAN Citizen

    2)Your educational qualification must be a graduation in any field from any recognized University.

    3)If you are in the final year of graduation then also you are eligible for the exam.

    4)Your age must be between 21 years to 30 years.

    Relaxation for the Reserved categories
    • FOR SC/ST : 5 years
    • FOR OBC : 3 years
    5)NUMBER OF ATTEMPTS:
    • FOR GENERAL CATEGORY: 4 Attempts
    • FOR SC/ST CATEGORY : No limit
    • FOR OBC CATEGORY : 7 attempts

    Hi Dude......
    IPS(Indian Police Service) is the one of the civil services in India.These Services are conducted by the Union Public Services Commission in India.The IPS is mainly concerned with the law and order in India.IPS Officer works for both the central and state government.The main objective of the IPS Officer is to prevent the law and order in our country.
    This is one of the Prestigious services in India which are offered by the UPSC.This Examinations comes under the civil services and these examinations are very toughest examination when compared to other examinations of all the government services.
    There are required eligibility Criteria and the Examination Pattern which must be followed in order to appear for the Civil services examinations.In order to select in these services you need to qualify the examination which is conducted by the UPSC.....

    Eligibility Criteria which must be followed for the Civil Services:
    >>You must have attained the age of 21 years and must not exceed the age of 30 years....

    As you are from the B.Sc agriculture Branch of study and it is better if you take the Agriculture as the subject of your optional subject.As the Agriculture subject you will have the grip on the subject and also you can easily write the examination as you had all ready completed the subject of Agriculture you can easily write the examination.....

    Yes, If you have completed B.SC degree then you are applicable for IPS exam.

    IPS exam is conducted by UPSC. There are some criteria you have to follow for appearing in IPS exam.This exam is conduct through Civil Service Exam .

    Those candidate have completed graduation in any discipline from recognized university are eligible for IPS exam.

    But your age should be in between 21-30years for general candidate.
    In IPS exam their is provide age relaxation for OBC candidate is 3years and for SC/ST candidate is 5 years.

    The maximum attempts for Sc/ST candidate is Unlimited. For OBC candidate it is 7 years and for general candidate it will be 5 years.
    Also you must be citizen of India.
