Re: How many attempts are allowed in Civil Service Exam?

Actually there are different number of attempts allowed for various categories and you can appear for a limited
number of attempts depending on the category in which you reside. So, basically this is an examination that is
conducted by UPSC(Union public service commission) and this is the authority which is responsible for the
conduct of civil service exams and for all other prominent government examinations in our country.

As far as number of attempts for Civil services exam is concerned, they are limited to only four for general
category students, as far as the "other reserved classes" is concerned, it is limited to seven.
And for those students who belong to the category of "Scheduled Castes and scheduled tribes", they have
the unlimited attempts. So, they can appear for the exam upto the maximum age limit which is 35 years,
beyond which they would not be allowed to appear for the exam.
