    Sorry, Industrial Engineering is not one of the 4 prescribed engineering branches whose students are qualified to apply for IES.

    Indian Engineering Services only takes into account candidature of the following degrees:
    #Civil Engineering
    #Mechanical Engineering
    #Electronic and Telecommunication Engineering
    #Electrical Engineering

    it also considers degree in the above equivalents, which are subjected to acceptance for the exam application.

    Thus, are you are a student of Industrial Engineering, you have no chance to appear for IES exam.
    Don't lose heart!!! Hunt for other good options, do revert back to us if you want further solution.

    IES stands for Indian Engineering service.
    This exam is conducted by UPSC.
    You are eligible for I.E.S. examination as you are an Engineering degree holder.
    But as you are from Industrial Engineering , you have to choose any one stream from civil, mechanical, electrical, electronics & telecommunication to appear in I.E.S exam.

    Eligibility:-

    Educational qualification:-
    --You must be a graduate with engineering course from following streams.
    1)Civil Engineering
    2)Mechanical engineering
    3)Electrical Engineering
    4)Electronics and Communication Engineering

    --Final year candidates are also eligible to apply in the exam.
    --Candidate must not have any pending backlogs.

    AGE LIMIT:-
    --Age limit for appearing in this exam is 21-30 years.
    --Upper Age limit is relaxable to OBC,SC/ST candidates.
    --For SC/ST- 5 years of relaxation is given.
    --For O.B.C.- 3 years of relaxation is given.

    NUMBER OF ATTEMPTS:-

    FOR GENERAL CATEGORY-4
    O.B.C.- 7
    SC/ST-UNLIMITED

    IES stands for Indian Engineering Service which is one of the competitive exam conducted by UPSC(Union Public Service Commission) every year.

    This exams is conducted for candidates to join in Indian Engineering Organizations.

    Being A Industrial Engineering student,you cannot apply for the IES Exam

    The candidates who are eligible for the IES exam are:

    • Civil Engineering
    • Mechanical Engineering
    • Electrical Engineering
    • Electronics Engineering


    as regarding the education qualification framed for the exam.

    Age Limit for the exam:

    The candidates should also have a age limit of 21-30 years for General category.

    The candidates should also have a age limit of 21-35 years for SC/ST category.

    The candidates should also have a age limit of 21-33 years for OBC category.


    Selection Procedure:

    • Written Test
    • Personality Test.


    So,regarding all this it states that you are ineligible for the IES Exam

    Yes, You are applicable for IES exam.

    If you have completed engineering discipline in following departments then you are eligible for IES exam

    1.Civil Engineering
    2.Electrical Engineering
    3.Mechanical engineering.
    4.Electronics and Communication Engineering.

    If you have M.Sc degree in Physics , Radio Physics then you are applicable for IES exam.

    The applicant age should between 21 yrs to 30 yrs.Age relaxation is provide for SC/ST/OBC candidate.

    Final year student also eligible for IES exam .

    Number of attempts for IES exam is for general student it is 4., for OBC it is 7 times. and for SC/ST it is 9 time.

    the Eligibility in terms of education are for the following degrees-

    you are eligible for the examination.There is no minimum percentage is required to apply for IES Examination, Any Engineering graduate Passed candidates are eligible to apply for IES Examination. Final year appearing candidates are also eligible for IES.

    no dear you are not eligible for IES.in the engineering only electrical engineering,mechanical engineering,civil engineering or electronics and communication engineering are eligible for IES.

    No you are Not Eligible for the IES Entrance Exams.

    IES Stands for Indian Engineering Service and this is the exam that is conducted by UPSC(Union Public Service Commission) to Recruit Candidates in Government Organizations. The Notifications About the exams are given in the employment newspapers or updated in the website.

    Eligibility:

    You Should be a Citizen of India.
    You Must be A graduate from a recognized university in any one of the Engineering Fields:

    1.Electrical Engineering
    2.Electronics & Communications Engineering
    3.Civil Engineering
    4.Mechanical Engineering

    Your age Limit must be 21 years to 30 years
    Age relaxations applicable for SC/ST and OBC Candidates
    Even Final year Graduate Candidates are Eligible for the exam.

    hello friend....UPSC (union public service commision)...conducts exam in four different branches of ENGINEERING...they are
    1) mechanical engineering
    2) civil engineering
    3)electrical engineering
    4)electronics engineering
    So industrial engineering is not conducted by UPSC ....
    ELIGIBILTY : for above branches you should be a graduate with 55% marks in above given streams....
    age limit is 21-30 years....

    Civil Engineering

    Information About IES Examination :

    (IES) Engineering Services Examination is conducted by the UPSC every year for the recruitment to the four categories of engineering services:

    >> Civil Engineering
    >> Mechanical Engineering
    >> Electrical Engineering
    >> Electronics & telecommunication Engineering

    If you have completed your Engineering degree course in any one of the given discipline, then you are eligible to apply for IES Examination. This examination is conducted by UPSC One times in a year.

    There is no minimum percentage is required to apply for IES Examination, Any Engineering graduate Passed candidates are eligible to apply for IES Examination. Final year appearing candidates are also eligible for IES.

    The examination generally conducted in June and the examination are objective as well as subjective papers. Those who qualify the written exam are called for Interview.

    To apply for this examination, Your age should between 21 to 30 years, Upper age relaxation is applicable for SC/ST/OBC Candidates.

    There is no restrictions in Number of attempts, So you can attempt IES Examination Many Times.

    The Notification of IES Examination will be Published in the employment Newspaper OR in the UPSC Website in the Month of February and If you have completed your Engineering degree course and Interested in IES Examination, then please wait for the Notification, the Notification of Next year IES Examination will be Published on 25/Feb/2012.

    The last date of apply for IES Examination 26/March/2012.

    And The last date of apply for IES Examination 15/June/2012.

    Interested Candidates may apply for IES Examination Online or Offline. The Online Registration will be started directly after declaring the Notification.
