    i hve completed my LLM n 2007 i hve scored 55.37 % in LLM. and category is 3rd B group and m working as lecturer in law college ....and my age is 36 yrs please kindly inform that can i appear for UGC NET exams....

    The eligibility for NET exam is as follows:
    -Masters degree with at least 55% marks.
    -Age limit: 1)Junior Research Fellowship- max 28yrs.
    -Lectureship- no upper age limit.

    Yes you can take NET exam after MLL but the most important thing is that you have to clear the NET exam.
    NET exam could be taken after doing PG.To appear in UGC NET Examination, you need Master degree.

    Because Master degree is the minimum eligiblity to apply for NET Examination . But to appear for NET examination you have to scored Minimum 55% marks in your Master degree.

    If you have scored minimum 55% marks, only theb you are eligible to apply for NET Examination. The NET Examination are held 2 times in a year, so you can appear either in June OR in december.

    Final year Master degree candidates are also eligible to apply for NET Examination. And if you want to get complete information regarding NET examination, then please visit the official website of UGC -

    The main objective of this exam is to provide Junior Research Fellowships (JRF) NET to Indian Candidates and make eligibile for appointment of Lecturers (NET) in certain subject areas falling under the faculty of Science....So after doing masters in Arts and Commerce candidates cant go for this test....

    this require master degree in any field.
    The main objective of this exam is to provide Junior Research Fellowships (JRF) NET to Indian Candidates and make eligibile for appointment of Lecturers (NET) in certain subject areas falling under the faculty of Science.

    Important Dates:

    Date of UGC NET examination: 26th June 2011
    Date of UGC NET Notification : 30.03.2011
    i) Last date for Applying On-Line 25th April 2011

    ii) Last date for receiving the documents at the test center: 2-5-2011

    Eligibility:
    The candidates must have completed Master degree from a recognized university with 55% aggregate.For SC/ST/VH/PH candidates it is 50%.
    The candidates must appear with the subjects of their post graduation only.

    Hi

    Candidates having master degree in Humanities and Social Sciences, Computer Science & Applications, Electronic Science etc. are only eligible to apply for the UGC NET examination. Since you are in first year so you are not eligible to apply for the NET exam.

    To apply for the NET exam you should have to post graduate first and only then you are eligible to apply for the NET exam. The detailed eligibility criteria for the NET exam is given below:

    Education Qualification
    Candidates having master degree in Humanities and Social Sciences, Computer Science & Applications, Electronic Science etc. and have scored 55% marks are eligible to apply for the NET exam.

    Candidates of Scheduled Caste (SC)/Scheduled Tribe (ST)/Physically Handicapped (PH)/Visually Handicapped (VH) should have 50% marks .

    Candidates who are appeared in the final year exam are also eligible to apply for the NET test.

    AGE LIMIT
    i) Junior Research Fellowship :
    Candidates applying for the Junior Research Fellowship should not be more then 28 years.
    For SC/ST/OBC/PH/VH categories candidates there is a relaxation in age of 5 years.


    ii) Lectureship :
    Candidates applying for the Lectureship have no upper age limit criteria. Candidates for this can apply at any age .

    yes, you are eligible for NET.but you have to secure minimum 55% marks(50% for reserve category) in MLL.
