Re: How many marks should I score in each section of IBPS exam to get qualified?

But IBPS has given some some cutoff marks because it is an exam conducted all over India and there will also be a huge competition there by so that if you get 70% of marks that is Out of 250 marks if you get 175 marks then you will surely get job in the 19 public sector banks which are participating in the IBPS exam.
You should score at least 35 marks in every section then you will get a bank job for sure !!
The section wise cutoff marks are as follows:

    >Quantitative Aptitude

    50 questions -- 50 marks
    cut-off 33

    >Reasoning

    50 questions -- 50 marks
    cut-off 30-33

    >General Awareness

    50 questions -- 50 marks
    cut-off near to 25

    >Computer Knowledge

    50 questions -- 50 marks
    cut-off 35

    >English Language

    50 questions -- 25 marks
    cut-off 10-12

The Total time is 150 min and the total marks are 225.

    >Descriptive exam

Essay and Letter writing -- 60 min
    25 marks
    cut-off around 15 marks.

Re: How many marks should I score in each section of IBPS exam to get qualified?

    Hi,

The cutoff marks for the IBPS exam for both PO and Clerical Exams mainly depends on the students who have written exam and also qualified and the number of posts and the paper difficulty also cover.According to this the cutoff marks will be decided. So we can say that it will change depending on the exam which is conducted.

But IBPS has given some some cutoff marks because it is an exam conducted all over India and there will also be a huge competition there by so that if you get 70% of marks that is Out of 250 marks if you get 175 marks then you will surely get job in the 19 public sector banks which are participating in the IBPS exam.

If the exam is really very tough then you will have to get atleast 60% to 65% of marsk that is 140-145 marks can get you a job.

The section wise cutoff marks are as follows:

    >Quantitative Aptitude

    50 questions -- 50 marks
    cut-off 33

    >Reasoning

    50 questions -- 50 marks
    cut-off 30-33

    >General Awareness

    50 questions -- 50 marks
    cut-off near to 25

    >Computer Knowledge

    50 questions -- 50 marks
    cut-off 35

    >English Language

    50 questions -- 25 marks
    cut-off 10-12

The Total time is 150 min and the total marks are 225.

    >Descriptive exam

Essay and Letter writing -- 60 min
    25 marks
    cut-off around 15 marks.

    Good luck!

    Hii

You should score at least 35 marks in every section then you will get a bank job for sure !!

It means in all the sections of IBPS clerk exams you should get 35 marks at least to get a sure shot..

In each section you must have to score 70% of marks that means 35 marks then you will get the job for sure in any of the following 19 banks :

Re: How many marks should I score in each section of IBPS exam to get qualified?

    Hi

IBPS stands for Institute of Banking Personnel Selection.
IBPS can conducts the common written exam separately for Probationary officers and clerks.
For this 19 banks are participating.

According to your query IBPS can't calculate the marks in each section. It can calculate the overall score.

The cutoff marks for IBPS can depends upon the
Number of students taken the exam
    Number of students qualified
    Number of posts
    Difficulty of exam paper.

According to the experts ,ibps exam is very huge competition exam across India. If you got 70% then you will definitely get a job in any one of the 19 banks.

In worst case situation i.e when the paper is difficult, that percentage is reduced to 60%.

    Good luck...........
