    Dear Friend,



    NDA (National Defence Academy) is one of the platforms through which you can express your indomitable spirit for your own country India.

    Eligibility for Indian Army :

    1:You should pass 12(10+2)th or its equivalent from State Board / Universities. you can also apply as appearing for 12th examination.

    2:Marital Status:Unmarried

    3:Sex :Male.

    4:Age Limit : Between 16.5 and 19.

    5:Nationality:
    You have to be A citizen of India, or
    subject of Bhutan, or
    subject of Nepal, or
    Tibetan refugee .


    The UPSC (NDA) exam is conducted twice a year (April and October.


    Selection Procedure: National Defence Academy selects the candidates in three phases :

    i)A written examination by the Union Public Service Commission(UPSC).

    ii)An interview by the Service Selection Board(SSC) to check the potentialities Intelligence and personality.

    ii)A medical examination by a Service Medical Board(SMB).

    The written examination is of two papers of all objective type questions.

    i)Mathematics of 2.5 hours maximum number 300 including Arithmetic, Mensuration, Algebra, Geometry, Trigonometry, Statistics.

    ii)General Ability test of 2.5 hours maximum number 600 including General English, General Knowledge,Physics,Chemistry,General Science,History,Freedom Movement,Geography,Current Event

    After clearing the written exam you will be called for a five-day interview process with the State Selection Board (SSB) which is the final step of selection.

    On completion of the NDA course, you are sent to the respective service academies for your pre- commission training.


    Important dates/schedule of NDA-II exam-2011:

    Date of notification of NDA exam- : 5th May , 2012

    Last Date for Receipt of Applications either by hand or by Post/Speed Post or by Courier : 4th June , 2012

    Date of Examination : 19th August, 2012.

    Hello friend,yes you are eligible as your age lies between 16-19 years.
    The details are as follows:
    NDA exam is conducted twice in a year.The eligibility is as follows:
    1. Indian Citizen
    2. Age between 16-19
    3. Unmarried status
    4. Physically fit
    5. Male candidates are eligible
    6. completed 12 th

    This exam is divided into two parts of 2.5 hours
    Mathematics (300 marks)
    General Ability (600 marks)

    So try to get more info.on the exam and apply for it

    NDA Stands for National Defence Academy and this examination is Conducted by UPSC For the Recruitment of these 3 Wings :

    >> Army Wing
    >> Naval Wing
    >> Air Force Wing

    You have to complete your 12Th examination With maths and Physics as a compulsory subjects, to apply for all these 3 wings.

    But If you have Not study Maths and Physics in your 12Th examination, then you are only eligible for Army wings of NDA.

    To apply for NDA Examination, your age should between 16 1/2 to 19 years. It means your age should be 16 year and 6 Months.

    This examination is Conducts Twice in a year : NDA (I) and NDA (II).

    Only Unmarried male candidates are eligible to apply for NDA (I) 2012 Examination and if you are interested in this examination, then please wait for the Notification for complete Information. It is possible that you are eligible for NDA (I) Examination, So please read the Notification carefully if your age will come under the eligibility then definitely you are eligible for NDA.

    The Notification of Next year NDA (I) Examination will be published on 31/Dec/2011 and the last date of apply for NDA Examination 30/Jan/2012.

    The examination will be Held on 15/April/2012.

    To apply for NDA Examination you must be Physically and Mentally Fit in all the respects and you must be in good physical and mental health and free from any disease.

    The minimum acceptable height is 157.5 cms. (162.5 cms for Air-Force). For Gorkhas and individuals belonging to hills of North Eastern regions of India, Garhwal and Kumaon, the minimum acceptable heights will be 5 cms less.

    Your Chest should be well developed. Fully expanded chest should not be less than 81 cms. The minimum range of expansion after full inspiration should be 5 cms.

    So, You have to Fulfill these Requirements, only then you are eligible to apply for NDA.

    The selection in NDA Are Based on written examination, Medical test and Personal Interviews.

    SORRY to say but the answer is NO
    To be eligible for appearing in NDA exam, you must be 16 and a half years ,i.e., 16 years and 6 months.
    but you are just 16 years and 1.5 months , so you are not eligible.
    Age Qualification for NDA Entrance Exam :
    Candidates who are appearing for the NDA exam must be unmarried males. They must be atleast 16 1/2 years and not more than 19 years on January 1st or July 1st of the year subsequent to the year of the exam.


    so wait for the right time. till then , you can prepare for the exam.

    No your are not eligible for NDA exam now.To appear for NDA exam,you should have fulfill with below mentioned criteria.

    As NDA exam is conducted by UPSC every year once,to take qualified students into different defense service like Indian Air Force,Indian Navy and Indian Army.

    >>For Indian Air Force/Indian Navy:You should have complete 12th class with PCM stream from a recognized university.
    >>For Indian Army:You should have complete 12th class with any stream from a recognized university.
    >>And your age should be between 16 1/2 to 19 years for Indian Army,Indian Navy and Indian Air Force.

    If your age is 16 year 6 months to 19 years,you would have eligible for NDA exam.So you appear for NDA exam after overcoming the 16year and 6 months.

    Dear Rajnikant:

    In such a young age you are being an aspirant to join in Defence. Hats off to you first. But am sorry to update u tat NDA Exam requires atleast 12th std with PCM stream and age should be between 16.5 to 19 yrs.

    NDA-I and NDA-II exam are conducted twice in year, because the person who was not able to attend for NDA-I exam, he can apply for NDA-II exam in the same year, without having gap between the education.

    You can prepare for the exam until you appear.

    AGE LIMIT:-

    FOR NDA EXAM A CANDIDATE MUST BE AN UNMARRIED MALE AND HAVE ATTAINED THE AGE OF 16 1/2 YEARS AND MUST NOT HAVE ATTAINED THE AGE 19 YEARS ON THE 1ST JANUARY OR 1ST OF JULY OF THE YEAR.

    * CANDIDATES MUST NOT MARRY UNTIL THEIR FULL TRAINING.
    * A CANDIDATE WHO MARRIES SUBSEQUENT TO THE DATE OF HIS APPLICATION, THOUGH SUCCESSFUL WILL NOT BE SELSCTED FOR TRAINING.

    No you cannot appear for the NDA entrance exam because the minimum age required for the NDA exam is 16.5 years on 1st of january of the year of exam.

    So friend you have to wait for the next time and then you can fill the application form of NDA exam and appear in the exams.

    There is also other criteria to qualify in order to be eligible for the NDA entrance exam.

    1)You should be a citizen of INDIA.

    2)You should have done your 12th class from a recognized board.

    3)A student appearing for the 12th class exams is also eligible to appear for the exams.

    4)Your age should be between 16.5 years to 19 years.

    5)You should be physically fit.

    6)You must be a male and unmarried candidate.

    7)You must have a height which is not within 157.5cms to 162.5cms cannot apply for Air Force wing. Candidates whose chest is less than 81cms cannot apply. Candidates should have proper eye-sight. They should not be overweight or under weight

    It will cost you around Rs 25 from the post offices and You can also fill it ONLINE on the website www.upsconline.nic.in

    sorry but you can not apply for it until you are 16.5 0n 1st january.

    ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA FOR NDA EXAM

    Those candidate have completed their 12th standard are eligible for NDA exam.

    But your age should be in between 16.5 to 19 years.

    Only unmarried male candidate are applicable.

    SELECTION PROCEDURE FOR NDA EXAM:-

    Yes, you are eligible N.D.A exam after the age of 16 year.

    N.D.A exam is conducted by U.P.S.C twice in a year.
    After qualifying this exam you can start you career in defence sector like:-
    >> Indian Army
    >> Indian Air force
    >> Indian Navy

    Eligibility criteria:-
    > Pass 12th with any subject from recognized university
    > Age limit:-16.5-19 year
    > Medically fit

    There are 3 steps of selection:-
    -Written exam.
    -Interview
    -medical exam.

    NDA stands for National Defence Academy. Every year this NDA Exam is going to be conducted by UPSC (Union Public Service Commission) twice a year.

    This Exam will let the candidates to be placed in the following Defence services
    -Army wing
    -Navy wing
    -Air Force wing

    The selection procedure to be placed in the following services is by
    -Written Test
    -Interview

    Later on a medical test will also be conducted as a part of selection procedure.

    Here is the eligibility criteria for this exam.

    Academic Qualification :
    -One should have completed 12th class from a recognized board to be eligible for Army wing.
    -One should have completed 12th class with Maths and Physics as the compulsory subjects in order to be eligible for Navy and Air Force wings.
    -Candidates who are pursuing final year of 12th class are also eligible to apply for this exam but they should be able to show the proof of 12th passing in Interview.

    Age criteria :
    -One should be in the age group of 16 1/2 years to 19 years to be eligible for this exam.

    Only unmarried male candidates are eligible to take up this exam.

    For this year, UPSC has completed both the NDA Exams. In order to be eligible for upcoming NDA I Exam, you should be with a minimum age of 16 1/2 years by 1st January of 2012. So, you are not eligible to take up this exam.

    But you are eligible to apply for NDA II Exam as you are going to complete 16 1/2 years by the 1st July of 2012.

    Have good preparation to this exam and crack the exam.

    NDA stands for National Defense Academy.UPSC will hold the NDA exam twice a year.

    Through this exam you can enter into the 3 defense services namely

    • Indian Army
    • Indian Navy
    • Indian Air force

    Eligibility for NDA:

    Educational qualifications:


    You have to complete your 10+2 with the subjects as physics and maths, in any recognized university.
    You should maintain your aggregate as 50%.

    Age qualifications:

    Your age should in between 161/2-19 years.

    Nationality:

    Indian

    martial Status :Single

    Note:Only un married males are eligible for this exam.

    If you fulfill those qualifications then you are eligible for this exam.
