IAS Exam is one among the most important exams carried out in the country. The candidate should pass the written test and interview to get in to the prestigious post. The written test includes a preliminary test followed by a main exam. The duration of both the sections is 2 hours. The preliminary exam is carried out in two papers. The first paper covers general knowledge questions. This includes questions of historical importance and current events. The second paper covers questions on logical reasoning, mental ability, etc. The main exam includes questions on the basis of the optional subject selected for the exam.
