    Now talking about eligibility of Civil exams-
    Generally All Civil Service exams required graduation degree with 60% Marks.
    Age-
    21 to 30 and relaxation in upper age for SC/ST and OBC candidates as per as govt. Rules.(5 years for SC/ST and 3 years for OBC )

    No. of times candidates appeared in these exams-
    General candidates-4 times
    SC/ST-No limit
    OBC- 7 times

    Civil service exam exam conducted by UPSC.There is no marks criteria.Only graduate are applicable for you.

    EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION:

    Candidate should have minimum graduation degree with any discipline from a recognized university.

    AGE CRITERIA:

    For General category candidate,age should be between 21 to 27 years
    For OBC category candidates age should be between 21 to 30 years
    For SC/ST category candidates age should be between 21 to 35 years.

    NUMBER OF ATTEMPTS:
    4 attempts for General category candidates
    7 attempts for OBC category candidates
    Unlimited attempts for sc/st category candidates

    To apply for the exam you must be a citizen of India .

    Age ::

    For 2012 Exam you must be 21 years and must not have attained the age of 30 years on 1st August, 2012

    For OBC candidates 21 - 33 Years

    For SC/ST candidates 21 - 35 Years .

    Qualification::

    Must have a degree form any Indian University or other educational institution which is recognized from Government Of India .

    You can even apply if you are in your final year of degree .

    Number Of Attempts ::

    You can attempt 4 times for general candidates .

    7 attempts for OBC candidates.

    There is no limits for SC/ST candidates.

    UPSC ( Union Public Service Commission ) conducts the Civil's exam for the entry into different posts every year and it is one of the toughest exam in India.

    Nice to see your interest in Civil services. Here's the full details of it.

    Eligibility :

    You must be a citizen of India.
    Age limits:
    - You must have attained 21 years and not be over 30 years on August 1 of the year of examination.
    The upper age limit is relaxed in specific cases as mentioned below:
    upto a maximum of 5 years if the candidate belongs to SC/ST.
    upto a maximum of 3 years if the candidate belongs to Other Backward Classes(BC's)
    You must complete your Graduation Degree(No restriction in Min.Percent)
    Number of attempts::
    - General candidates: four attempts.
    - Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe candidates: No restriction.

    About Civil Services Examination :

    UPSC (Union Public Service Comission) Conducts the Civil services examination for the recruitment of IPS/IAS Officer OR other Government Officers Post. This examination is Conducted only 1 Times in a year in 2 stages : Preliminary examination and Main examination.

    >> Preliminary examination are also Known as CSAT (Civil services aptitude test). In this examination there are 2 Papers and Both are Objective and the duration of Both papers are same. This examination is compulsory for all because those who cracked this examination are eligible to appear for Main examination.

    >> Main examination is conducted for those, who cracked the Preliminary examination. This examination is Descriptive and You have to choose the Optional Subjects on the Basis of Graduation. There are 7 Papers in Main examination and all are of 300 Marks Expect Eassy section. So Main examination will be Comprises of 7 Papers with total 2000 Marks. All the papers will consist of Conventional (essay) Type questions only and all Question Papers, other than language papers, will be set both in Hindi and English.

    Those who cracked the Main examination are Finally called for Interview. The interview will carry 300 marks. The number of candidates called for Interview will be twice the number of vacancies, Total marks obtained by the candidate in the Main Examination (written part as well as interview) would determine his or her final ranking. So please prepare well for Both the exam, If your aim is to become IAS/IPS Officer in Future. This examination is not so Easy, you required lots of Hard work and Determination, Only then you will be able to cracked this examination.

    In order to become an IAS officer , you must possess the following eligibilities:-

    The minimum educational qualification required is to be a graduate.

    Age limitation is between 21-30 years with 5 years relaxation for the SC/ST candidates and

    3 years relaxation for the OBC categories.

    You must clear the CSAT i.e. civil services aptitude test conducted by the UPSC in order to appear for the exam.

    General categories get 4 while reserved categories get 7 attempts to clear the exam.

    The exam pattern consists of preliminary , mains and interview sector.
