    IT is a branch in which yo have a plenty of private jobs but in govt. sector as an engineer there is very less amount of jobs for IT student.
    So if you want to do govt. job so do M.tech and go for the lecturer job in engineering college.

    There is high scope for the course of B.Sc IT in the government sector. You can join for jobs in the government companies in pure technical positions. There are opportunities in banks. You can apply for positions such as PO, specialist officer etc as per the available vacancies. You need to attend the written examinations as part of it. You can also try in for the competitive examinations which are conducted for getting in to jobs in various government departments. UPSC and SSC are some of the options available. This will help you to apply for different government departments such as Railways, Telecom, excise, Income tax departments etc.
