    The officer cadre will be their for B.Tech candidate in defense service.To join in defense service after graduation course,then you should appear for CDS exam.CDS exam is conducted by Union Public Service Commission every year twice to take qualified students into defense service like
    >>Indian Air Force
    >>Indian Navy
    >>Indian Army

    To appear for Indian Air Force/Indian Navy,you should have completed graduation degree in engineering with any branch from a recognized university and your age should be between 19 to 22 years.
    To appear for Indian Army,you should have completed graduation degree in engineering with any branch from a recognized university and your age should be between 19 to 24 years.

    If you fulfill with this criteria,then you will eligible to apply for CDS exam.
    CDS-I exam notification released on 28th Oct 2011,closed on 29th Nov 2011 and exam will held on 12th Feb 2012.
    CDS-II exam notification will release on 2nd June 2012,closes on 2nd July 2012 and exam will held on 16th Sept 2012.

    sir i am completed b.tech mechanical with the percentage of 64% without backlogs and my age is 24 yrs.i am intrested to any defence services.so tell me the possible way?

    Eligibility criteria for joining the Indian Air Force:

    Age:

    18 to 28 years (At the time of commencement of training)

    Branches in Btech / BE: Electronics,Tele-communication, Electrical, Electrical Communication, Electronics & Communication, Instrumentation, Computer Science & Engineering

    Salary Range: approx. 17000 along with benefits and various allowances.

    After Completing B.tech course, you are eligible to enter into defense services. If you are Interested to join defense, then for this you have to apply for CDS examination, UES (University Entry Scheme), Direct Entry Scheme or through Short Service commission (Technical).

    And after completing B.tech course you are eligible for all these examination to enter into defense.

    CDS Examination :

    CDS Stands for Combined defense services examination and this examination was Conducted by UPSC Comission every year. The examination was Held 2 times in a year and to apply for this examination graduate degree is mandatory. So, After completing B.tech course with Maths and Physics as a compulsory subjects, you are eligible to apply for CDS Examination.

    You can apply for These academy in CDS Examination as per your Eligibility.

    >> For IMA (Indian Military Academy) : You have to completed your Graduate degree course in any discipline form a recognised university and Your age should between 19 to 24 years.

    >> For OTA (Officers Training Academy) : You have to completed your Graduation course in any discipline and your age should between 19 to 25 years.

    >> For Naval Academy and Air-Force Academy : You have to completed your Engineering course or B.sc course with maths and Physics as a compulsory subjects in your Graduation or in Intermediate examination, But for this your age should between 19 to 22 years (For Naval Academy) and 19 to 23 years (For Air-Force).

    The Notification of CDS Examination for Next year was Going to be declared soon in the UPSC Website in the Month of October 2011, So please wait for the Notification and then apply for CDS Examination, The Notification was Published in the employment Newspaper on 29/Oct/2011.

    The last date of apply for CDS Examination was 28/Nov/2011.

    Direct Entry Scheme :

    If you have completed your B.tech Course, then you can join the Technical Branch through the Direct Entry Scheme and for this your age should between 18 to 28 years.

    You can also enter through UES (University Entry Scheme) only if you have completed your B.tech course form Aeronautical Engineering (Electronics) & Aeronautical Engineering (Mechanical) stream. But for this your Have to complete your B.Tech course with minimum 60% marks.

    >> You can also Enter into defense by Short Service commission (Technical) and for this you have to complete your Engineering degree course and your age should between 20-27 years.

    So, You can enter into defense by various modes, the Notification of this examination was published and updated in the employment newspaper or in the UPSC Website. So please check both the websites for complete Information.

    YES there are chances for you to enter into Indian Defense Services with your B.Tech. There are number of ways to enter like
    1. CDS - Combined Defense Services
    2. SSC - Short Service Commission
    3. UES - University Entry Scheme

    You can enter the Defense services through any of the above ways with your B.Tech , Dude here i am mentioning you some information regarding the above mentioned courses of entry.

    I. CDS ( Combined Defense Services ) common entry for different wings if Indian Defense Services namely
    1. Indian Military Academy ( I.M.A )
    2. Air Force Academy
    3. Naval Academy
    4. Officers Training Academy ( O.T.A )

    UPSC ( Union Public Service Commission ) conducts the written exam All India wide for selecting young and courageous aspirants into CDS.

    Eligibility :

    UNMARRIED MALE & FEMALE only eligible for CDS exam.

    Educational Qualification :

    I.M.A & O.T.A : you must have completed your Degree from a recognized university
    Air Force : you must be Bachelor Of Engineering or Degree ( with Physics & Mathematics at +2 level ).
    Naval Academy : you must have Bachelor Of Engineering or B.Sc with Physics & Mathematics.

    II. SSC ( Short Service Commission ) :

    SSC is the common wing for the entry into Indian Defense Services in Indian Army for young and courageous aspirants.

    Eligibility :

    UNMARRIED MALE & FEMALE only eligible

    Educational Qualification :

    you must have completed your Degree / B.E / B.Tech with minimum percentage of marks from any recognized university.

    III. UES ( University Entry Scheme )

    you can also join in Indian Defense Services through UES scheme directly applying through the respective university board you are studying and the selection process are done there before.

    Eligibility :

    UNMARIED MALE only eligible.

    Educational Qualification :

    You must completed you Bachelor in Engineering or in the final year of your Engineering course can apply for UES exam.
