Re: Can I appear for IES exam after completing Electronics Engineering with less than 60%?

I think you are eligible for the IES exams having less than 60% in your B.Tech with EEE. And there is no restriction for the aggregate marks in IES exams.

    IES Stands for Indian Engineering Services and IES is conducted by UPSC twice in a year. And this exam is conducted for only the few of the engineering branches like;
    Civil Engineering
    Mechanical Engg.
    Electrical Engg.
    Electronics and Tele communication Engineering

So,you are eligible for the IES from the course point of view. Now,coming to the next eligibilities for the IES exam, You must have a bachelor's degree in engineering from a recognized university.
Your age should be between 21 to 30years.
    For SC/ST - 21 to 35years
    For OBC -21 to 33years
    For PD - 21 to 40years
You can write IES even if you are in final year.

So, you can appear for the IES exam.

    Scheme of IES Exam:
Paper 1 (Objective) -> General Ability Test
Paper 2&3 (Objective) -> Will be on your subject
Paper 4&5 (Conventional) -> will focus in your branch

    Paper-I (0bjective Type)

    Duration: 2 Hours
    Marks: 200
    Questions: 120
    Negative marking:0.30

    Paper-II (Conventional)
    Duration:3 hours
    Marks: 200

Exam pattern for your branch EEE is :
