M.Sc biotechnology is post graduation course of 2 years. Biotechnology is a good field. There is lots of scope in this field. After the completion you would get many job opportunities. You can work in medicals labs, hospitals or in drug industry. You can also go in research work.

To get admission in M.Sc Biotech, you have to satisfy the eligibility criteria that is graduation in any discipline of biology like B.Sc biotech, B.sc microbiology etc. Also different colleges have different percentage requirements. Most of the colleges requires minimum 55% in graduation. However there are some colleges which have less percentage criteria. The duration of the course in most universities is 2 years. Normally the institutes conduct their own entrance exam or accept score of some common exam. Some of the common entrance exams are the Combined Biotechnology Entrance Examination, All India Combined Entrance Exam by JNU, IIT JAM etc. The pattern of these exams are similar. The syllabus will include areas from science and maths areas. There will be questions from areas like genetics, zoology, botony, chemistry, physics etc. The questions will be of the B.Sc level. The application forms for these exams will be available in the institute or university conducting the same.

The duration of M.SC biotechnology is 2 year course after graduation (10+2+3).
The candidates with bachelor's degree under 10+2+3 pattern of education in Physical, Biological, Agricultural, Veterinary, Fishery Sciences, Pharmacy, Engineering, Technology or Medicine (MBBS) with at least 55% marks are eligible to apply for M.Sc Biotechnology at the following colleges:

the duration of the course is 2 years with 4 semesters,
you have to write the all India basis through an all India post graduate biotechnology entrance exam conducted by Dr. d. y. patil vidyapeeth (deemed university).you have to do well because candidates are going to select through merit , students are going to select for the spot admission after a personal counseling.
you must apply the application at the due date, or else it will not accepted.

Duration for the course is two years after B.Tech. In D Y Patil you can get admission even after B.Sc. in biotec. Also you can do integrated M.Tech (5 yr course) after 10 + 2. For all the courses you have to clear the entrance exam of the respective colleges / university. M. Tech biotec courses arev avilable in IITs, Mumbaqi university, pune university, Amity university, most of the NITs etc. For IITs and NITs you should qualify the GATE followed by a technical interview.
