    My dear friend.

As per your question is concerned the answer will be No.

Because you can become a software developer after doing 12th in any stream.

You will have to learn the programming languages.

You can do that by joining any special classes and courses.

You can also join government institutions like C-DAC etc.

There you can do short term courses and go into the field of Software development.

But what i will recommend is to clear IIT JEE.

Because it will help you get into top Engineering colleges of India.

You will learn from the most talented and experienced person of the country.

    That will polish your skills.

While doing engineering you can explore your interest in software development.

I recommend you to do B.Tech in Computer Science Engineering from any top college of India.

In Computer Science Engineering you will also learn SDLC.

SDLC stands for Software Development Life Cycle.

You will learn all the necessary phases of software development in SDLC.

So it is really important if you want to setup a career in Software development.

So it will be good if you clear the IIT.

I hope the information will be helpful to get you through your confusion.

    Regards

IIT-JEE OR AIEEE is not at all necessary for becoming SOFTWARE DEVELOPER

After passing 12 join in any engineering college which is well reputed and concentrate on your goal . This is more than enough and even you have a good command in c++ programming. So, you can get through easily and can see yourself as software developer with in 3 to 4 years.

If you join in IIT or AIEEE then you will be paid high salaries than other candidates. This will be added advantage if you study in IIT's or in NIT's.
