Re: Is there any relaxation for Physically challenged candidates in IAS exams? hai,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, dear you don't have any age relaxation for physically handicapped, age relaxationyou have 5 years of age relaxation if you are belong to the SC/ST, you have 3 years of age relaxation if you are belong to the other backward classes, you have 5 years of age relaxation if you are domiciled in JAMMU Kashmir during the period between January,1,1980 and december 31,1989. you have to complete your degree from any recognised university incorporated by an act of the central or state legislature in india or other educational institutions established by an act of parliament or it may be declared as deemed university under the act of ugc act 1956. age limit you must have 21 years of age and your age must not be above 30 years on august 1 of the year of examination. the IAS exam will be consists of three stagesprelims, mains, and finally interview stage , preliminary examination: in this exam there will be two papers : the IAS prelims consists of objective and consists of two compulsory papers to all of them . the negative marks for each question is 0.33 marks,general studies carries 150 marks, any one optional subject -300 marks, optional subjects for the preliminary examination,agriculture, animal husbandry and veterinary science botany, chemistry, civil engineering, commerce, economics, electrical engineering, geography, geology, Indian history, law, mechanical engineering, philosophy, mathematics, physics, political science, psychology , sociology, statistics, zoology, medical science, psychology, public administration, anthropology, mains exam is written exam: paper-1 consists of 300 marks and you have to select any one language from the Indian languages and literature. the languages areArabic, Assamese, Bengali, Chinese, English, French, German, Gujarat, Hindi, Kannada, Kashmiri, Konkani, Marathi, Malayalam, Manipuri, Nepali, Oriya, Pali, Persian, Punjab, Russian, Sanskrit, Sindhi, Tamil, Telugu, Urdu, paper-2 consists of english with 300 marks, paper-3 consists of essay, paper-4 and 5 consists of general studies carries 600 marks. paper -6,7,8,9, you have to select any two subjects from the optional subjects below ,each subject has two papers which carries 1200 marks,agriculture, animal husbandry, botany, chemistry, civil engineering, commerce and economics,electrical engineering, geography, geology, history, philosophy, management, mathematics, physics, political science, psychology , sociology, statistics, zoology, medical science, psychology, public administration, anthropology, all the best

Indian Administrative Services are one of the prestigious services which are offered by the Indian Government and the candidates who wish to appear for the IAS/IPS services must need to follow some of the qualifications which are necessary for appearing to the Civil services examinations and the civil services selections criteria will also be difficult when compared to the other competitive examinations and the selections also will be done one year long. These Civil services selections will also be difficult and the examination also requires some of the qualifications which are necessary and some of the qualifications needed are the.......... *Age Limit- Should have attained the age of 21 years and should not exceed the age of 30 years upper age limits are as per the government services such as the. OBC-3 years SC/ST- 5 years PH-10 years PH candidates of OBC-13 years PH candidates of the SC/ST-15 years *Educational Qualifications- Should have completed the graduation or the bachelor degree course of study in any of the discipline of study and the candidates who had completed the graduation in any of the disciplines are eligible for appearing to these civil services. Candidates who are in the finale year of the graduation are also eligible for appearing to these civil services. *Nationality- Only the candidates who belongs to the citizen of India are only eligible for appearing to the Civil services of the IAS. These are some of the eligibility criteria which are available. So, the PH candidates can appear for the civil services and the relaxation of the age are to be of the 10 years maximum to the prescribed age limits. The selection procedure is done through the selection of the candidates by the selection procedures such as the Preliminary Round Main Examinations Interviews These are the series of the selections procedures which you need to follow for appearing to these Civil Services.............. You just need your physically disabled certificate from Government recognised hospital and disability should be more than 40% to avail the relaxation benefit.
