You can eligible for the IES exam.

IES stands for Indian Engineering Service.

This exam conducted by Union Public Service Commission once in a year.

Eligibility criteria:-

Applicant must have to complete Graduation in Engineering from a recognised university.

Percentage is not an important thing to appear this exam.

Candidate must be a citizen of India.


Age criteria:-

For General candidates: 21 years to 30 years,

For OBC category candidates: 21 years to 33 years,

For SC/ST category candidates:
21 years to 35 years.


Selection steps:-

Preliminary examination,

Mains examination,

Personal interview.


Number of attempts:-

Four times chance for General candidates,

Seven times chance for OBC candidates,

No limit for SC/ST candidates.

Yes with your back papers you will be able to write the IES Examination but you have clear all your back papers before the IES Examination Interview.

The Engineering Graduates and M.Sc in Physics , Wireless Communication , Radio physics are
eligibile for IES Examination .

The following Engineering Branch of candidates are eligible for IES examination :
Civil Engineering
Mechanical Engineering
Electrical Engineering
Electronics and Telecommunication .

im the student of jntuk batch 2009-2013 i hav 4 backlogs if i had completed my backlogs in the month of jan 2014 can i eligible for ies 2014 exam

IES stand for Indian Engineering Service which is conducted by UPSC.Only B-TECH degree holder and some M.Sc department are applicable for this exam.

But you have a pending backlog so you are not applicable for IES exam.So first cleared your backlog then you can apply here .

Those candidate have completed engineering discipline in following departments then you are eligible for IES exam

1.Civil Engineering
2.Electrical Engineering
3.Mechanical engineering.
4.Electronics and Communication Engineering.

If you have M.Sc degree in Physics , Radio Physics then you are applicable for IES exam.

The applicant age should between 21 yrs to 30 yrs.Age relaxation is provide for SC/ST/OBC candidate.Final year student also eligible for IES exam .

Number of attempts for IES exam is for general student it is 4., for OBC it is 7 times. and for SC/ST it is 9 time.

Sorry ,you have to clear the backlog first and then apply for IES.here is the eligibility criteria for IES-


1 you must be Indian citizen

2 age limit 21 to 30 years.there is a age relaxation for govt servants for some categories.

3 graduation degree in any one of the following branch-

mechanical engineering

electrical engineering

electronics and communication

civil engineering
there is no min % specified for IES.once you qualify IES you will be eligible to join-

1 Indian railway
2 central public work departments
3 engineer in chief in military headquarter.
4 ordnance factories under armed forces
5 central water commission
6 Central electricity commission
7 border road organization
8 indian navy.
