    No you are not eligible for NET / SET examination.

    For these examination one must have scored 55 % marks in post graduation course.

    Less than above percentage are not allowed.

    So you cannot sit for NET or SET examination.

    The exam are conducted for research fellowship and lectruership post.

    For JRF the maximum age limit is 28 year .
    And
    For Lectruership post : No upper age is specified.

    The candidates have to fill the application form online.

    Hi Friend

    No, You are not at all eligible for NET/SET exam because you have only 48% in your PG so you are not eligible..!NET Stands for National Eligibility Test which is conducted by UGC(University Grants Commission).
    NET is conducted twice in a year.
    -June
    -December

    The salary may be increasing in the range of Rs.6000-7500/ with your usual salary range.





    Eligibility for NET::

    You must have PG with min.55%

    There are 2types of Posts in NET:
    1)Lectureship post(LS)
    2)Junior Research Fellowship(JRF)

    There is no upper age limit for "Lectureship post"

    You must be within 28years for "Junior Research Fellowship"(5years age relaxation for SC/ST,BC and PH Candidates)

    Structure and Pattern of NET Exam::

    # It consists of 3Papers
    * Paper I
    * Paper II
    * Paper III
    # Both Paper I and Paper II are OBJECTIVE TYPE. Paper III is DESCRIPTIVE TYPE.
    # Paper I contains
    - General Knowledge
    - Current Affairs
    - Reasoning Ability and Quantitative Methods For (50 questions) – 100 Marks
    # Paper II contains
    - Your Core subject for (50 questions) - 100 Marks.
    # Paper III contains
    - Your core subject in PG and will have 4Sections.
    Section 1- 5x5= 25 marks (30 words)
    Section 2 –15x5=75 marks (30 words)
    Section 3- 5x12= 60 marks (200 words) and
    Section 4- 1x40= 40 marks(1000 words)
    Total for 400Marks.

    No, You are Not Eligible for NET Examination Because to apply for NET Examination, You have to Scored Minimum 55% Marks in your Post graduation degree course !!

    But You have Scored less than 55% Marks in your Post graduation, So you cant eligible for NET Examination.

    NET Stands for National Eligiblity Test and this examination is Conducted by UGC Twice in a year, the examination is Conducted in June and December Every year, For this Year June NET Examination was already completed and The last date of apply for December NET Examination was already Over, The December NET Examination will be held on 24/Dec/2011.

    But, If you are Belong to General category then you cant apply for NET Examination.

    Eligiblity Criteria for NET Examination :

    >> You have to complete your Post graduate degree course with Minimum 55% Marks.

    >> Final year post Graduate candidates are also eligible for NET Examination.

    >> The Ph.D. degree holders whose Master’s level examination had been completed by 19th September, 1991 shall be eligible for a relaxation of 5% in aggregate marks for appearing in NET.

    You are advised to appear in the subject of their post-graduation only. If in case your Subjects are Not mentioned in the List, then you are eligible to choose the Related subjects.

    >> The examination fees of NET Examination was Rs 450 and you have to pay the fees through challan form in SBI Bank and then you are allow to fill the Online Application form.

    >> But You are Not eligible to apply for NET Examination because you have not scored Minimum 55% Marks, So you are Not eligible for NET Examination and If you need More Information about NET Examination, then please check the official website :
