Central Teacher Eligibility Test:

Its a entrance exam conducted to ensure a candidate that he or she can pursue their career as a teacher in any of the government and public schools.
To teach a student a teacher possessed knowledge test is a mandatory condition.
Central government of India conducts this test to testify their teaching capabilities.
This implementation of test has increased the standards of teaching.
Teachers who are already possessing a job should pass this test within time periods of two years.
Students having completed their graduation in all fields like B.A, B.Sc, B.Com, etc are eligible for the test.

ELIGIBILITY CONDITIONS:

For Lower Primary:
-> Completed or in the final years of Diploma in Elementary Education
-> Or Completed or in the final year of Bachelor of Elementary Education
-> Or Completed or in the final year of Diploma in Education
-> Minimum Percentile Requirement is 50% in their Higher Secondary Board exam.
-> There is a age relaxation of 5% for SC/ST and handicapped students

For Upper Primary:
-> Bachelor degree in Arts/Science/Commerce and completed or in the final year in Diploma in Elementary Education ( No % percentage required)
-> Higher secondary Education with a pass percentage of 50% and Bachelor of Elementary Education
->Bachelor Degree with pass percentage or CGPA of 50% and course in Bachelor in Education
