NDA:-National Defence Academy

IES:-Indian Engineering Services

ELIGIBILITY FOR NDA:-



*Only Indian citizens.

*Only unmarried male candidates with age between 16.5 to 19 years.

*Educational qualification required:-

(a.)For ARMY WING of National Defence Academy:-

Candidates who have passed their 12th in any discipline from a recognised college.

(b.)For NAVY WING of National Defence Academy:-

Candidates who have passed their 12th with Mathematics and Physics from a recognised college.

(c.)For AIRFORCE WING of National Defence Academy:-

Candidates who have passed their 12th with Mathematics and Physics from a recognised college.

*Candidates must be physically fit .

ELIGIBILITY FOR IES:-






*Candidate must be an Indian citizen.

*Candidate must be a graduate in the following discipline:-

1.Electronics and Communication Engineering

2.Electronics and Tele-communication Engineering

3.Mechanical engineering.

4.Civil Engineering

5.Electrical Engineering

*Candidate's age must be between 21 to 30 years with relaxations in age for reserved candidates.

*Final year engineering candidates are also eligible for the exam.

Difference Between NDA and IES examination :

NDA Stands for National Defense Accademy

and
IES stands for Indian Defense Accademy .

Both examination is conducted by UPSC.

Eligibility for NDA exam :

Class 12th pass from a recognized board .

Age limit :
16.5 years to 19 years.

IES exam eligibility:

Must have Engineering degree from a recognized university.

Engineering degree must in following branches :

Civil Engineering
Mechanical Engineering
Electrical Engineering
Electronices and communication Engineering .

Age limit :
21 years to 30 years.

IN NDA exam no age relaxation is given .

In IES age relaxation is provided to reserved category candidates.

N.D.A --- NATIONAL DEFENSE ACADEMY


I.E.S --- INDIAN ADMINISTRATIVE SERVICES


And the eligibility is as follows ..

N.D.A ---

You must have a minimum of 12th class from a recognized university

And the minimum age must be 16.5 years

maximum age is allowed up to 19 years

Only unmarried male candidates are only eligible to apply for it



I.E.S ---


You must be an indian Citizen

The minimum Age must be 21 years

maximum age is allowed up to 30 years

Of course there will be an Age relaxation for the reserved candidates

You must have a minimum of GRADUATION as a Qualification

Eligibility criteria for NDA:-

12th class with 60% -any stream.

Eligibility criteria for IES:-

B.E degree with 60% -any stream.

I have discussed about eligibility criteria for NDA and IES exam .If you are fulfill the below given criteria then you are eligible for attend in NDA and IES exam .

If you have completed 10+2 standard from recognized board then you are applicable for NDA exam.
But your age should be in between 16.5 to 19 years.

Only unmarried male candidate are applicable for NDA exam.You must have citizenship of India.

As per age criteria , i think you are not applicable for NDA exam .

Those candidate have completed engineering degree with below given department are applicable for IES exam-

1.Civil Engineering
2.Electrical Engineering
3.Mechanical engineering.
4.Electronics and Communication Engineering.

M.Sc. degree or equivalent with Wireless Communication, Electronics, Radio Physics or Radio Engineering as a special subject is also acceptable for certain posts.

Final year student also eligible for IES exam .

The applicant age should between 21 yrs to 30 yrs.Age relaxation is provide for SC/ST/OBC candidate.

As per educational qualification you are not applicable for IES Exam.
