    No age relaxation applicable for other categories.

    No after class 12th you are not eligible for UPSC examination.

    To appear in UPSC examination you are required to complete your graduation .

    Only Graduation completd are eligible for UPSC examination.

    After class 12th you can give only SCRA examination.

    UPSC every year conducts various examination.

    The examination which are conducted by UPSC are:

    Civil services
    NDA
    CME
    CFS........ Etc.

    Eligibility Criterion For UPSC Exam


    There are various exams conducted by the UPSC which include Civil Service Exams,IFS,IES,Engineering Services,Statistical Services,NDA,CDS,SCRA,IFS,etc

    but the UPSC exams for which you can appear after the completion of your 12th like NDA and SCRA

    For appearing for the NDA (National Defense Academy) Exam,a candidate needs to fulfill the following eligibility criterion :-

    1) The candidate must have completed 12th or appearing in 12th boards

    2) The candidate must be within the age limit of 16.5-19 years as seen on 1st July of the year of the exam


    The NDA Exam is conducted in April and August every year

    If you want to appear for the SCRA (Special Class Railway Apprentice) Exam then you need to fulfill the following conditions :-

    1) The age of the candidates must be above 17 years and less than 21 years as seen on 1st August of the year on which the examination is going to take place

    2) The candidates must have 50% or above in their 12th boards with Physics,Chemistry and Maths as subjects


    The SCRA exam in 2012 is going to be conducted on 29th January,2012 but the last date to submit the forms is already over

    After completing 12th you want to go for UPSC exam there are 2 option available for you one is NDA exam another is SCRA exam.

    For NDA EXAM

    It is conducted by UPSC twice in a year. It has three section
    1. ARMY
    2. NAVY
    3. Air Force

    Eligibility Criteria:

    1. Candidate have to be indian citizen
    2. Candidate age should be between 16 1/2 to 19 years .
    3. For Army candidate have to pas 12th with any discipline
    4. For Navy and Air Force candidate have to pass 12th with math,physics.
    5. candidate have to be physically and medically fit

    After passing the exam candidate have face interview and medical test.


    For SCRA:

    1. Candidate have to indian citizen
    2. Candidate have to pass 12th with recognized university
    3. Candidate must study 12th with math and either physics or chemistry
    4. Candidate must medically and physically fit

    this exam held once in a year.

    After completion of 10+2 you are not eligible UPSC exams.
    UPSC will hold the civil services like IAS,IFS,IPS,IES every year.

    After 10+2 you are only eligible for NDA exam.

    NDA:National Defense academy.UPSC will hold the NDA exam twice a year.

    Eligibility for NDA:

    You must complete your Intermediate from any recognized university.
    You must be citizen from India.
    Your age should in between 16 1/2-19 years.
    You must be physically as per rules.

    Only unmarried female candidate are eligible for NDA exam.

    So after Intermediate you are eligible for only NDA exam.



    UPSC will hold the number civil service exams.The exam is conducted into 2 stages namely

    • Preliminary examination
    • Main examination

    After clearing the preliminary examination you are eligible for main examination.

    After clearing the main examination you can go for final interview.

    Eligibility for UPSC:



    Education qualifications;


    You have to pass your graduation in any recognized university.
    Age qualifications:

    Your age should in between 21-30 years.
    Upper age limit will be applicable for ST/SC/OBC candidates.

    No.of Permissible attempts:


    4 for General candidates.
    7 for OBC

    sorry, u cannot appear for UPSC(union public service commission) exam after 10+2 without completing your graduation degree.
    You must have complete your graduation in any recognised college.
    age should have above 18
    you should be unmarried

    IAS stands fir Indian administrative service.UPSC will hold the IAS.

    Eligibility criteria IAS Entrance exam :

    You should have degree or equivalent from any recognized university .
    You should have appeared for final year examination and waiting for result are also eligible on provisional basis.
    You should have age between 21 years to 30 years are eligible .


    Tips to prepare IAS :

    -You must have the grip about all the subjects.In prelims exam you will be appearing for an objective type of paper.History,maths,geography you have to secure a good marks.

    -By reading news papers ,watching T.v news and quiz you have to appear G.K easily.

    -After clearing the exam you can enter into the Interview stage.For that stage you have to prepare mentally.

    UPSC exam is conduct in many times in a year. IAS , IPS,IES ,INCOME TAX OFFICER,CBI OFFICER etc are related to UPSC exam.

    THE ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA FOR UPSC EXAM:-

    AGE CRITERIA:

    Minimum age criteria is 20 years and maximum age criteria is 30 years.

    CDSE
    Civil service exam
    Engineering service exam

    For 10+2 pass education ,you can give only NDA/NA exam.The age limit for NDA is the 16.5 to 19 years.
    NDA is the national defence academy.

    in national acadamy there are three acadamies are there:

    1)army
    2)navy
    3)airforce

    in the above acadamy you can choose any one to write the entrance exam.you are in select in nda and go to training and get the job.

    Minimum Educational Qualifications:
    The candidate must hold a degree of any of Universities incorporated by an Act of the Central or State Legislature in India or other educational institutions established by an Act of Parliament or declared to be deemed as a University Under Section 3 of the University Grants Commission Act, 1956, or possess an equivalent qualification

    Age limit: 21 years must be completed on 1st August of the year, which a candidate is appearing. Maximum 30 for general category, 33 for OBCs and 35 for SCs/STs. Ex-servicemen will get 5 more years exemption from the prescribed age limit

    no. of attempts normally 4 in case of OBC 7 times.

    eligibility for UPSC exam is

    for prepration you can refer to your syllabus of 11th and 12th class cbse board and read general awareness books, information about army ...and take coaching for ssb exam.....

    After 10+2 you can only one EXAMINATION conducted by UPSC that is NDA for which Eligibility criteria given
    below

    • Candidate must pass 10+2 from recognised university from Science Stream .
    • Candidate appearing for above examination can also apply.
    • candidates must be Unmarried male
    • Age between 16 1/2 to 19 years
    • A candidate must be A citizen of India
    If u satisfy above criteria you are eligible for NDA.

    UPSC conducts several exams like NDA , CDS , IAS , IES etc.But after 10+2 you are only eligible to appear in NDA exam as other exams require graduation degree to appear.NDA is conducted by UPSC twice in a year.There are three wings in NDA namely Indian Army , Air Force and Navy.To appear in NDA exam the candidate must fulfill the mentioned eligibility criteria :-

    - the candidate must be a Indian citizen

    - passed 10+2 (in Science and Maths) with minimum 60% aggregate

    - between the age of 16 1/2 - 19 years

    - the candidate must be a unmarried male

    - physically fit.

    To appear in other exams like CDS , IAS the candidate must be a graduate in any discipline from a recognized university with the age between 21 - 30 years,there is upper age relaxation for ST/SC , OBC candidates.

    UPSC exam is not done on the basis of 10+2.

    The minimum eligibility required for the UPSC exam is graduation degree.
    so you can't appear for UPSC exams (Officer Grade) without completing your graduation.for naval and air force wings you need to passed your 12Th examination with with Physics and Mathematics as a subjectyou can appear for an exam for example NDA(National Defense Academy) if you want to make a career in the field of Defense.

    UPSC exams are Conducted twice a year . The notifications about UPSC are given in the month of February. NDA, SCRA come under UPSC exams and IAS, IES come under Civil's exam.

    For NDA the eligibility criteria is:
    1). the candidate must be 16.5 to 18 years of age
    2). The candidate must have passed out his 12th standard with a minimum of 60% from a recognized Board.
    3). The candidate must be physically fit

    For Civil's exam:
    1). The candidate must be 21 to 30 years of age.
    2). The candidate must be a graduate from a recognized University with a minimum of 60% .

    yes, youare eligible.Following are the eligibility of the candidates who can appear for the UPSC exam after 12th.
    the minimumpercentage is 60% to be appear for this exam.But you can appear for an exam for example NDA (national defence accadmy)if you want to make a carrier in the field defence.

    Sorry to say this you are not eligible for that upsc exam. The minimum qualification is degree graduation. First you do one degree course. After that many books are available in the market for the same exam. For further contacts: www.upsc.gov.in

    Some exams ask for graduation as their minimum eligibility.
    But there are exams which one can give after 10+2.
    You can give NDA,SCRA,etc.

    UPSC exams are conducted every year for different posts as ias and ips.If you are interested to make career in civil services then you have to complete your graduation first.Nice to see that you had decided your goal,now to fulfil your dreams in civil services you need to do degree course from any ugc recognized university.Choose any course of your interest and then complete your graduation successfuly. Eligiblity-Eligiblity for upsc exams is that a candidate must be graduate from any recognized university,age limit is 21-30 years of age.

    Yes, you can appear for one or two of the exams conducted by UPSC(Union Public Service Commission), but you cannot appear for many of the bigger exams as most of the exams require a minimum eligibility that the candidate should be graduate to appear for the examination. For example IAS(Indian Administrative Service), this exam cannot be appeared by any candidate who has not completed his graduation.Apart from that he must score the minimum percentage that is 60% to appear for this exam.
    But you can appear for an exam for example NDA(National Defense Academy) if you want to make a career in the field of Defense.

    The minimum eligibility to appear for this exam is 1th standard from a recognised board . And this exam can be given only by unmarried male candidates . Apart from that the age limit to appear for this exam is from 16.5 years to 19.5 years of age. You must satisfy all the requirements to appear for the exam.

    You cant attempt UPSC exam after 10+2... You are eligible only after completing any degree. But you can start preparing now itself.

    Please go through any daily newspaper and Frontline magazine.

    No,you cant appear for UPSC exam because the minimum qualification to appear in this exam is graduation from any stream and at least 21 years of age.
    So,first do your graduation and then start preparing for it.

    UPSC Conducts many examination and you have not mentioned that in which examination you are interested, But dont worry, If you have completed your 12Th, then you are eligible for UPSC NDA examination and SCRA Examination.

    For NDA you have apply after completing 12Th in any stream for army wings, But for naval and air force wings you need to passed your 12Th examination with with Physics and Mathematics as a subject, and your age should between 16.5 to 19 years, Final year appearing candidates are also eligible for NDA examination, NDA examination was held 2 times in a year and the notification are updated in the official websites or in the employment newspaper, eligible candidates may apply for NDA examination online by visit upsc website.

    And For SCRA examination you have to passed your 12Th examination with Mathematics and at least one of the subjects Physics and Chemistry as subjects of the examination And your age should between 17 to 21 Years. You can also apply for this examination online and the examination was held only one time in a year and if you need more information then please visit the official website of UPSC or read the given notification -

    Age limit: 21 years must be completed on 1st August of the year, which a candidate is appearing. Maximum 30 for general category, 33 for OBCs and 35 for SCs/STs. Ex-servicemen will get 5 more years exemption from the prescribed age limit

    no. of attempts normally 4 in case of OBC 7 times.

    Sorry to say but you can't. The minimum eligibility required for the UPSC exam is graduation degree. For preparation there are so many books available in the market for the same. You should read competitions success. For the model paper you can search on it's official website i.e www.upsc.gov.in

    You can't appear for UPSC exams (Officer Grade) without completing your graduation. First of all you should achieve a degree.
