You have the option to choose between both the Government Sector and the Private Sector. In the Government Sector you can choose job like civil service, psc tests, also bank PO and other Government sector job, You may be required to clear the entrance test for these exams. You also have the option to go in for further studies like MA, MBA. After MA you can if interested go into the teaching or research field.

Re: What are the career options and Placements after B.Sc ?

You can take up masters in the same field of study so as to thoroughly get acquainted with your subject.
this also widens your career or placement avenues.
depending upon your specialization, you'll get placed for respective jobs.
for example, You can either take up M.Sc in Biotechnology, Chemistry, Botany, Zoology, Genetics, Biochemistry, etc or can also do honors in the respective subject. u can also take up the job as a professor in government or private institutes. after that doing any 2 months' certification program from India, can add to your qualification and makes it possible to gain a good job. if M.Sc is out of your interest, you can take up loan to pursue MCA or MBA in your post graduation from any leading institute of the nation to get bright jobs.
    All the best.

B.Sc in which subject ? your question is incomplete dear.
But , in general after B.sc you will not get high profile job and suppose you got also then in future it will lagging you behind at the time of promotion so i think you should go for master degree or pg etc. Ya but if you dont want to study further then you are eligible for various entrance exam for civil services conducted by upsc or if you are interested in defence then you are eligible for direct SSB for officer post that would be a good career option.

Re: What are the career options and Placements after B.Sc ?

well dear, i want to tell you from my personal experience, better opt for M.Sc. or MBA. Companies do take B.SC grads, but in majority of cases, they ask you to sign a bond for 2 or more years.A BITS Pilani MS {Which is a 4 years charade, that means you are stuck(have to do work there) with that company for 4 years, as you can not continue MS if you leave the company}. and do not offer good appraisals. It becomes a problem for switching since, every company wants a post graduation.

You can always opt for a part-time MBA, while working. If i am not wrong, even M.Sc(IT) by Mumbai University is available with evening lectures....

If you wanna ensure that you do end up with a job after B.Sc, make sure that your aggregate for all 3 years is better than 60%, and be prepared to face a few aptitude exams, thats the first round for all campus.

    All the Best....

Re: What are the career options and Placements after B.Sc ?

Career opportunities are there after B.sc also but very limited one and also less pay.
So, at present the best option is for you to opt for M.sc with specialization in any good branch
of Chemistry. Specialising in any of the followings is a good option -

    Organic Chemistry
    Analytical Chemistry
    Inorganic Chemistry
    Biochemistry

M.sc (Organic Chemistry): This degree can get you in Chemical Industries, generally students find jobs in Caustic Plants, Petroleum refinery and other Chemical manufacturing companies.

M.sc (Analytical Chemistry): This degree can get you a better job in Pharmaceutical sector for works involving coding, absorption etc. besides this find good jobs as in Laboratories for manitanance and suffient running of Lab. etc.

M.sc (Inorganic Chemistry): This degree can land you in Metallurgy industry, rubber and alloy and gas plants etc.

M.sc (Biochemistry): This has better scope in research but for that you will need a PhD, however can get into Biotechnology sector, Pharma sector, agricultural research centres etc.
Bsc Agriculture degree is a nice field to work with ...it has got many domains But here I would like to give you one suggetion that better go for Msc then go for Jobs because Bsc agri will not give you enough salary to for with..but completing Msc agri then going for job will offer you handsome salary and position too. There are many agriculture companies which provides good jobs for Both Bsc and Msc students like;1.A.G sunseed Pvt Ltd 2.Indo american seeds Pvt ltd 3.Agro Biotech 4.Balaji seeds 5.Namdhari seeds 6.Bhakti Biotech Pvt ltd and many more...

7- would you please tell me What are the options available in the career field?
Ans- since you have not mentioned any particular field then it is difficult to tell but i am telling some of the best fields which will be good for you.
there are main streams science, commerce, arts, bio etc. There are many scope in today's world. The most factor for taking your decision is to which area you can contribute more, your interest.
If you want to go for government jobs then you can take exams like NDA,IAS.
For NDA-you must be 10+2 with PCM if you want to join technical fieldF.or PO you must be a graduate and for clerical 10+2 is sufficient.
You can also go for professional courses like CA/CS/ICWAI.
For IAS-you must be a graduate.
You can also go for MBA after your graduation.MBA is in great demand.MBA pass outs are offered managerial post with attractive package. But you should opt for a good institute. You must appear CAT/MAT/XAT to get admission in a good college.
You can also make a career in computer field. There are many courses like GNIIT, BSc in Animation and Multimedia etc.
Fashion industry also have a good career opportunities.

Well dear you haven't mentioned that you have done your b.sc in which subject or we consider it a general or pass course B.sc.

Even tough it is a pass course you can not expect a good career just by having a Bachelor degree in your hands. For better opportunities and more job prospect you have go for M.sc or since your ultimate aim is good job then opt for some technical and professional course like- MBA the best option. Having a MBA degree will open plethora of doors for success. If you don't have any particular requirement for specialization then better go for MBA (Retail management) or MBA (Real Estate) the best of the best options. Did you know when the whole world was on crashing point due to recession, Real Estate sector was just not safe from that but has also showed 23% of growth and development including recruitment.
Whereas in Retail sector jobs are very easily available and growth rate in this sector is faster and good enough as compared to any corporate sector, all you need is speaking skills along with your MBA degree.
