Re: NET exam after MSc in Remote sensing applications

In order to appear for the National Eligibility Test it is a must for the candidate to have a Master's degree. This test is conducted for those who aspire to be lecturers. It is a must that the candidate must appear for the test in the area that they selected during the Master's degree. Since you had chosen remote sensing and applications during the Master's course it is a must that you select the appropriate subject for the NET exam. Remote sensing and application forms part of the Earth, Atmospheric, Ocean and Planetary Science subject. So you are eligible to appear for the same. It forms part of the Applied Geology subject. Make sure to prepare well for all the areas under the subject.

Each questions carries to mark in this section. Part C has 75 questions and is intended to test the candidate’s scientific and conceptual knowledge. Most of the questions are of analytical nature. In this section each question carries 4 marks. The candidates need to answer 25 questions in this section. There will be minus marking for each incorrect answer.

    yes you are eligible

NET exam is carried out in order to select eligible candidates to different lecture posts and also for PhD programs. As to appear in this exam students need to have a Masters degree. Candidates must make a note that the subject selected in the NET exam must be in the similar fields of that of the Masters degree. As you have an MSc in Remote Sensing, select a subject from this field only. This will include subjects from earth science like atmosphere, earth, planets etc. All these come under the applied geology subject. Candidates must be well prepared as to qualify in the NET. Extensive dedication and hard work is the only method as to face success in this exam
